Senator Kennedy does not want to stop AI, but he is concerned about rogue AI models. He wants to insist companies have a kill switch they control. However, he doesn’t want the government in charge.
Senator Kennedy said Thune killed a bill he had proposed so he did it through another process called “anonymous consent.” Rand killed it, and wants to form another [useless] committee.
AI is supposed to be a tool that humans control—not the other way around.
