Too little has been made of Abdul El-Sayed’s probable win in the Senate primary. The fake Blue’s Clues admirer wants to rid us of the carceral state. Why would we need prisons and jails after all?
The new language describing his DSA views is “decarceration.”
El-Sayed appeared in a webinar alongside a convicted murderer and a registered sex offender who raped a 17-year-old girl. He chatted with a prison abolition group. They endorsed “any and all efforts to get people out of jails and prisons.” He said locking up criminals was akin to “robbing” them of their freedom, according to the Free Beacon.
Uh, yeah, that’s right, Abdul, so they stop committing crimes. We prefer “justifiably depriving” over “robbing.”
El-Sayed was the featured guest on the webinar. It was hosted by the Carceral State Project and the American Friends Service Committee in August 2020. They talked about their report “I Don’t Want to Die in Prison.”
The American Friends Service Committee advertised the show—using the hashtags #FreeThemAll and #AbolishPrison—as a platform to “discuss the report findings and the road to decarceration and abolition with Abdul El-Sayed.”
Winning the Felon Vote
He definitely has the criminal vote lined up. Democrats appealed to prisoners with their loose law enforcement, and this is the next iteration.
“Not only are we taking people’s rights from them, but we have also failed to provide them with the basic means of a dignified life,” said El-Sayed.
“Every choice we make about incarcerating somebody is about robbing that somebody of the people who love them and the people who need them.”
Yes, Democrats think we all need our thieves, murderers, and rapists roaming the streets for the sake of their loved ones.
“Any and all efforts to get people out of jails and prisons and to keep people out of jails and prisons is policy that we need to be investing in,” El-Sayed, who is leading in most polls against his more moderate Democratic rivals Haley Stevens and Mallory McMorrow ahead of the August 4 Democratic Senate primary, went on.
As we reported last week, El-Sayed urged other felons to run for political office. He said their voice is needed.
He’s going to choke us if we don’t like what he has to say.
Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed doubles down on his violent rhetoric against Republicans:
CBS: “I’ve heard it said that you said when they go low we choke them out.”
