The incident occurred during a gathering of more than 1,000 people. While many suffered gunshot wounds, some victims were struck by vehicles as the massive crowd chaotically tried to flee the area.
The media is remarkably uninterested.
A crowd of more than 1,000 people gathered for a planned homecoming block party following Friday night festivities. Around 1:25 a.m. Sunday, gunfire broke out near West Palm while deputies were stationed at both ends of the street to manage traffic.
Emergency crews rushed victims to four area hospitals after chaotic crowds and traffic delayed first responders.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken over the crime scene while authorities search for suspects.
Dooly County Coroner Brett Walls said the two men, ages 20 and 23, were pronounced dead at the scene with fatal gunshot wounds. He said multiple other people were also shot, calling the scene “horrific.”
A 1,000-person block party, a shootout of young people. The media wants you to believe it’s gun violence, but it’s not. You just know it’s gang violence.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office have not confirmed gang activity.
🚨 #UPDATE: Several young women who were attending the block party in Vienna, Georgia, are now describing the chaos that followed after gunfire suddenly broke out.
One of the witnesses said, “We hear more shots, but this time it’s automatic.”
One witness also said, “It was gang-related.”
They describe the panic as people scrambled to get away from the shooting and find safety.
These are just witness accounts. None of this has been independently confirmed yet, so take it for what it is until investigators actually verify it.
Two people have died, and as many as 35 people may have been injured.
More details are still emerging as the investigation continues.
