Oh, What Now! You Can’t Eat Mexican Jalepenos & Eggs

I’m going back to junk food. Reportedly, Mexican jalapeños and eggs are causing a massive Salmonella outbreak, and Mexican Iceberg lettuce is causing explosive diarrhea throughout the nation.

I don’t care about Jalepenos and never ate one, but I like my Iceberg lettuce, so I continue to eat it. I’ll substitute an omelet with whipped cream for eggs.

A couple of days ago, Chipotle found a potential Salmonella connection to their jalapeños, so they took them off the menu. Poor Chipotle is overtaking Taco Bell as the villain in this. Taylor Farms is still suffering, and their lettuce isn’t tied to the outbreak of butt problems.

And we now have an outbreak of Salmonella in eggs.

Salmonella is a group of bacteria that causes a common foodborne illness called salmonellosis. It also leads to diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. People usually get sick from eating contaminated raw or undercooked food, drinking unpasteurized milk, or touching infected animals. Most people recover in a few days by drinking fluids.

The explosive diarrhea is caused by a para site, not bacteria, allegedly.
