Ro Khanna, a moderate Democrat turned radical socialist, wants five murderers released. He is dreaming of the presidency, so he must think it will help him to call for the release of a Palestinian terrorist.
Marwan Barghouti, a Fatah leader, is a convicted terrorist who was found guilty of orchestrating three terrorist attacks during the Second Intifada that killed five people. Khanna wants him freed. Barghouti rejects Israel’s courts and justice, yet Khanna thinks he will lead Israel and Palestinians to peace. Khanna said Palestinians have the right to pick their leaders. Barghouti is in prison for funding five murders, attempted murder, and being in a terrorist organization. He said the latter wasn’t true, but evidence pointed elsewhere.
An Israeli court found Palestinian senior leader Marwan Barghouti guilty of the murder of five Israelis. The court acquitted Barghouti of masterminding attacks that led to the deaths of more than 20 other Israelis.
Handing down the verdict, the court said Barghouti did not have direct contact with the people who carried out the attacks, but he provided money and arms via associates.
Barghouti is a terrorist who is seen as a successor to terrorist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Yasser Arafat.
He received a rare trial in open criminal court rather than in a closed military tribunal. And he refused a lawyer. The West Bank terrorists want him out to continue terror.

Shame on you. Bhargouti was convicted of murdering five innocent people, including a mother of two and a Greek Orthodox monk. He is a terrorist who celebrated the October 7 attacks and encouraged similar attacks in the West Bank/Judea Samaria.

Marwan Barghouti was sentenced in 2004 by an Israeli court to five consecutive life terms plus 40 additional years for his role in multiple fatal attacks during the Second Intifada. He causes trouble while in prison. Freeing him would make matters much worse.
He received five life sentences for five murders, including:
- A Greek Orthodox monk killed in 2001
- An Israeli civilian near Givat Zeev in 2002
- Three people killed in a Tel Aviv restaurant attack in 2002
And got an additional 40 years:
- 20 years for attempted murder in a failed car bombing
- 20 years for membership in a terrorist organization
