The First Amendment case that was lost.
Shiloh Hendrix was in a park when she called an eight-year-old autistic child and a man filming her the “n” word. She kept repeating the word on video in her interaction with the person filming her. She said he was following and harassing her. The child had rifled through her things and stole some items she was able to retrieve.
The man who filmed it was a Somali man facing very serious charges of raping a minor at the time, but the charges were dropped allegedly “in the interest of justice.”
I repeat. The man filming her was a Somali criminal who raped a minor. He was never called to testify.
Shiloh was arrested and charged for her speech, doxed and threatened for more than a year. I’m not condoning her language to a child, but the man filming baited her into repeating it several times as he used the same word. The point is Shiloh was punished for her speech.
A jury has reached a verdict in her trial at a Rochester playground. Shiloh Hendrix was found not guilty on the first count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Hendrix was found guilty on the second count for the interaction with the videographer. Her interaction was all verbal. Hendrix will also receive supervised probation, will serve 200 hours of community work service, and is also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
The incident took place on April 28, 2025.
It is a First Amendment case, and she had the right to say it.
This is a racial slur case. Black individuals call themselves the “n” word all the time, but when white people do it, they are arrested and charged? I hope this is appealed to the Supreme Court. The free speech element is very serious.
It appears unconstitutional.
It turns out that the man who chased her down and recorded that video was himself a criminal, and not just any criminal, but a man who was out on bail after committing a horrific crime.

Minnesota is a mess. They really do love their foreign rapists. This was in Minnesota, where a panel recently pardoned another child rapist from Laos.
