Socialist Mayor Katie Wilson, in over her head as mayor, is under fire for her incompetent handling of crime and one recent crime in particular. Even the leftists are questioning her handling of a mass murder nine days ago.
A teary-eyed Mayor took a verbal beating on Monday over the lack of shared information and a third fugitive on the run. She didn’t have answers. Wilson really needs to start acting like an adult.
No information was going out to the public after a mass shooting nine days ago. Seven people were injured, and three died, including one shooter. Yet her answers were still vapid and unsatisfying. The media has a good opinion of Chief Barnes, who was summarily fired, and feels he was made into the fall guy.

It is now nine days since the shooting at the Bite of Seattle food festival on July 26, and the third unidentified suspect is at large. Police have still not publicly identified who fired the shots that killed two innocent bystanders.
One gunman was killed, and a 15-year-old gunman is behind bars.
According to KOMO News, at least four guns were discharged, and only three were recovered, including a ghost gun. It points to gangs. The entire episode appears to be gang-related.
KOMO News ran into Interim Chief Sayles outside Seattle Police Department headquarters and asked him about the investigation.
“I got a meeting,” Sayles said.
Asked what he could share with the public about the investigation, Sayles said, “We are working on it; we’re doing some good work. I’m actually going to a meeting right now with our investigative team.”
When asked about the third suspect, Sayles said, “Once I get some information from them, we will for sure let the community know.”
More Details on the Barnes Firing
Former SPD Chief Shon Barnes resigned just a few days after the shooting, following an uproar of public and media questions regarding his response to the incident and his frequent absences from the city.
To get Barnes to leave and not sue the city, the city gave him 18 months’ salary for $600,000, a $50,000 hiring bonus, and $60,000 moving expenses.
The inept socialist mayor Katie Wilson won’t say why she fired Barnes. He makes $360,485 a year, not including bonuses and benefits and didn’t hold a presser.
She should resign. People are so frightened over the increase in crime that they are putting up walls around their neighborhoods.
Questions also remain about the interim chief’s availability and residency as the city searches for a permanent police chief.
