Eight Democrats joined Republicans in a resolution to reject socialism in all its forms. The socialism that Democrats in the Democratic Socialists of America organization are pushing is actually communism. Eight Democrats rejected it. The cowardice of the rest of them is stunning.
Eight Democrats voted for the resolution, and two Democrats, Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine) and Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash.), brought it to the floor.
Eight Democrats in total who voted yes on the socialism resolution include: Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington, Darren Soto (FL), Gay Vazquez (NM), and Jared Golden (ME). We also have two other Democratic members who voted present on this very resolution on socialism: Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire and Christy Hulsing of Pennsylvania.

Democrat whip Katherine Clark said she will have words with them. Her plan is to whip them into shape. Clearly, Democrats have no intention of fighting the most radical flank in their “big tent.” The DSA flank wants to open the borders, abolish ICE, defund the police, empty out prisons, abolish private prisons, destroy the Constitution, defund the Pentagon, and so on. The Democratic Party is the Socialist (communist DSA) Party. They either have to fight it or stop pretending they can have it both ways. All you can assume with the large number of communists (DSA) winning primaries and seats is that Democrats would prefer to go communist than abandon their far-left wing.
Democrats are melting down and even Jeffries can’t hide it.
Two moderate Dems broke ranks and voted to condemn socialism.
Leadership’s response? Threaten to PUNISH them for it.

I’m not thrilled with Republicans or wars, but the choice is obvious to me. We can’t let the US go communist. Once you do, it’s probably impossible to extricate the nation from it. If history tells us anything, it tells us that.
