The Bible is fiction, Joe. It was written years after the events and is completely unreliable. Many people have waited for God to save them or return and it does not happen. I understand weak people need false hope to get them through their lives. Take a look at God’s morality. He is all powerful, can do anything and he could not snap evil away but felt it was necessary to sacrifice his own to do it. If you or I did we would be locked and designated insane. How was that morally sound when he was all powerful.
Trust in what you can control, your own wits and your strength and hope you’re lucky.
What a naive and overly simplistic view of the Bible. The Old Testament was written by authors real time and came down through the ages through careful preservation. Two of the 4 gospel books of the New Testament were also written by first hand authors, the other two were written by authors who took the stories from first hand authors and wrote them down. And they “just happen” to align with the two first hand author books….because they were transcribed from oral retelling accurately. You would know his if you didn’t only have CNN and MSNBC as your only information source. If you were even a little bit serious about critical thinking and took time to research the subjects you spout off about, you might have more credibility in life.
The rest of the New Testament is primarily from letters, written first hand. And all of the books in the Bible have been verified multiple times against other historical documents, some of the most recent being the Dead Sea scrolls.
I won’t even get into why God lets people suffer. You would not be able to handle the concept, and sound like a tried and true communist anyway. Most people who embrace communism have this idea that we will all contribute to the common good, until they see what that actually means. “Common good” becomes a catch phrase for a small group of elites getting everything while everyone else starves.
Evolution is an absurd fantasy.

Lou, you should check into Lew Wallace, Dr. Viggo Olsen, and Lee Strobel, all of these gentlemen were atheists who chose to try and prove the Scriptures wrong and that they were nothing but a fairy tale.
All three ended up accepting Christ as their Savior. Lew Wallace was a Civil War general who later wrote the book Ben Hur after becoming a Christian.
