The league and its media enablers want to pretend that Sophie Cunningham has somehow forced the league to be about something other than basketball. They have decided men can be women, and truth doesn’t matter.
The Athletic (New York Times) writes, “The WNBA conversation is no longer about basketball, and Sophie Cunningham doesn’t get why.”
It is nasty and is trying to divert from the actual issues, manipulating the public if it can.
“The entire point of the WNBA is that men and women are different,” Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway said on Outnumbered. “And you can’t have a functional women’s sport if you have men playing in it.” That is the point.

As McGurn put it, The Women’s National Basketball Association has crossed over into “Saturday Night Live.” The most divisive issue regarding Sophie Cunningham and women’s basketball is men in the WNBA. It’s not race, but DiJonai Carrington tried to make it about “white privilege.”
“For what this movement really opposes is truth and the norms based on truth. If all they achieve is to advance the idea that norms are arbitrary expressions of personal preference, they win big.
“That’s what makes Ms. Cunningham a target. Her offense is recognizing the truth that differences between men and women are real and substantive. “I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men,” she told ESPN,” says McGurn
These progressives don’t care if they ruin the game for the big lie.
There are many lesbians in the WNBA, and they have bought into the fraudulent transgender movement.
