Michigan senatorial candidate Abdul El Sayed wants public ownership or partial ownership of AI companies and, who knows, what else. He claims the government needs to control it because it involves ‘existential’ risk. Can’t you say there is existential risk in most large companies? He would also have to seize ownership because no AI company is going to voluntarily succumb to incompetent government rule.
While El Sayed was discussing AI companies, the camel’s nose- in fact, the camel’s whole body was under the tent. Abdul is espousing communist policy and calling it democracy.
Host: Are you in favor of public ownership models like the one [communist] Bernie introduced?
El-Sayed: So, I want to actually take it a step further. Okay. I agree that we need public ownership, but I also agree that we need some system of public control. Yeah. Like, what is the point of democracy if it’s not to protect us from existential risk?
He is a believer in big government communism controlling everything.
