His primary targets were President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Elon Musk. If Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu attended, he too would have been a preferred target.
A Department of Justice update issued Tuesday afternoon said that five people had been arrested during the investigation, including Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, of Omaha. They believe he was the ringleader of the mass casualty event at the UFC event on the White House grounds.
He is a foreign national and could be here illegally.
The complaint contains
about Alvarez’s immigration status or country of origin, but he consented to a consular notification on Tuesday. It is a requirement in federal court when foreign nationals are arrested to notify the embassy or consulate of the person’s home country. It is unclear if Alvarez was in the U.S. legally.

The conspirators allegedly planned to deploy drones armed with explosives in and around the UFC Freedom 250 event and shoot down as many as they could as they fled. His primary targets were President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Elon Musk. If Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu attended, he too would have been a preferred target.
The would-be assassins were described as ultra-religious and anti-government, like a Timothy McVeigh monster.
Alvarez was booked on federal charges of conspiracy to commit an offense against the U.S. and conspiracy to commit murder. He appeared before a judge via video conference on Tuesday morning.
There is a lunatic who wants to shoot President Trump every other week now.
Alvarez was called the “shepherd.” Others arrested and charged are Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Danville, Ohio; Bryan Omar Roa, 24, of Calimesa, California; Michael Alan Thomas, 32, of Pinon Hills, California; and Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, of Kidder, Missouri.
