Sentinel might have to start a column about the most dangerous professor of the week or we can just put this under clown world. Here is one example. Dr. Butch Ware, who actually got a PhD at the University of Pennsylvania, is talking about violent revolution in his Marxist conferences. It’s the next step in the long march through America’s institutions.
Taxpayers are paying this guy’s salary at the University of California. He is a Green Party candidate who ran alongside Jill Stein, who assaulted a police officer during a pro-Palestine (Hamas) protest.
“Y’all ain’t dream big enough yet, and also some of these clickety-clack revolutionaries have never been in a fucking gunfight. But some of us that grew up in the hood know what guns are like. Outcasts said it best. Niggas ranting and raving about gas, nigga, they made them gas. They got some shit that’ll blow out our backs. You are ready for a war in the streets? No, you ain’t. Y’all ain’t nowhere near ready for a war in the streets. You better get ready for both kinds of war, and if you stay ready, you ain’t got to give it.”
“Niggas? Blow?” This is not professorial.
“… you can’t call yourself a revolutionary and not be talking about training with weapons; you can’t call yourself a revolutionary and not understand that this can and likely will descend into a fight in the streets. But that does not mean that there is not a potential role for electoral politics in a revolutionary cocktail.”
That’s nice. Electoral politics has a place in the revolution. Don’t laugh this off. It’s serious. And why is he using bad grammar? Is he trying to be cute or just condescending?
He specializes in West African history, Islamic thought, and the African Diaspora at UC Santa Barbara. No surprises there. He wrote a book about the Jihad of the Pen, and apparently he’s ready to move on to bigger things.
The Bad Professor:
UCSB prof Dr. Butch Ware tells ‘Marxism’ conference: Be ready for “war in the streets.”
“Some of these clickety-clack revolutionaries have never been in a f*cking gunfight.”
