On Thursday, Senators Bernie Sanders and Angus King proposed a bill to ban Drug ads directly to the consumer.

They want to stop Big Pharma from using direct-to-consumer advertising, including social media, to promote their products.

The bill would prohibit any promotional communications targeting consumers, including through television, radio, print, digital platforms and social media. It will apply to all prescription drug advertisements.

“The American people don’t want to see misleading and deceptive prescription drug ads on television,” Sanders said in a statement. “They want us to take on the greed of the pharmaceutical industry and ban these bogus ads.”

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has repeatedly called to end prescription drug advertising.

That would end CNN. No more Anderson Cooper.

No More Drug Indoctrination

Not just CNN either. FOX drives me nuts with all their drug pushing commercials too.

Hmmm! Perhaps that is why Bernie wants credit for it. He want to get the jump on supporters of Bobbie and the ush for good health.
It soes make sense. Why are rescriptin judged advertised pther than to have people as for them and to pressiure doctors to prescriber them.

This could be one of the most impactful laws passed this year. It’s long overdue!

A second thing that needs to be addressed is the revolving door between big pharma and those agencies that “regulate” (yeah right) them.
