The media wants to determine what is important to Americans and they want to decide how Americans will think about it. It might not be working in the Comey firing case. The following poll was conducted on May 11-13, two days after the Comey firing.

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll was released on Sunday which shows what Americans think about the Comey story.

Only 38 percent of U.S. adults disapprove of Trump’s decision to fire Comey, and 29 percent said they approve of the dismissal.  Another 32 percent said they have no opinion. They likely don’t care.

In other words, 61 percent are not terribly concerned about the Comey firing.

The division along party lines continues with 58 percent of Republicans approving but only 9 percent approving. Disapproval among Democrats was at 68 percent and 74 percent of Democrats think Trump fired Comey to slow down the FBI’s Russia investigation.

Only 8 percent of Republicans disapprove.

Independents are interesting with 36 percent disapproving of the firing and 21 percent approving. Another 42 percent have no opinion.

In other words, 63 percent of Independents aren’t very concerned.

This Comey story is going nowhere despite the best efforts of the media so today WaPo came out with another fake story. They claimed an anonymous source informed them that Trump revealed classified secrets to Russian foreign minister Lavrov. Everyone who was at the meeting with Lavrov said the WaPo story was false. If this doesn’t go anywhere, they’ll have something else tomorrow or the next day. The media is determined to destroy the Trump presidency.
