US DoD is afraid of an insider revolt

U.S. defense officials say they are worried about an insider attack or other threat from service members involved in securing President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, prompting the FBI to vet all of the 25,000 National Guard troops coming into Washington for the event.

It’s unclear if they have any evidence.

That lends credence to Legal Insurrection’s premise that officials are worried about a military mutiny.

Whether it’s an overreaction, we can’t say. It seems absurd on the face of it. They’re grilling every soldier? Are we free individuals any longer?

Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy told The Associated Press on Sunday that officials are conscious of the potential threat, and he warned commanders to be on the lookout for any problems within their ranks as the inauguration approaches.

No military leaders have seen evidence of any threats, reports the AP.

”We’re continually going through the process, and taking second, third looks at every one of the individuals assigned to this operation,” McCarthy said in an interview after he and other military leaders went through an exhaustive, three-hour security drill in preparation for Wednesday’s inauguration. He said Guard members are also getting training on how to identify potential insider threats.

They’ve been vetting the troops for three weeks.

With regard to the January 6th riots, the military is now concerned there are more radicals.  “The question is, is that all of them? Are there others?” said McCarthy. “We need to be conscious of it and we need to put all of the mechanisms in place to thoroughly vet these men and women who would support any operations like this.”

This “ramp-up and security is being invented as the event is unfolding,” Jonathan Gilliam said on Newsmax this morning. “They overkill security when you don’t know what you’re doing,” he said.

Gilliam addressed the threats of armed conservative riots on the 17th based on ‘chatter’ and “it never happened.” The threats on Inauguration Day are also based on ‘chatter.’ The FBI doesn’t know where the chatter is coming from. The FBI people he knows says, “people who were in DC on the 6th weren’t anywhere inside the Capitol building, and the FBI is interviewing them as though they are part of some big conspiracy. Gilliam said this nonsense is like QAnon leading people down the wrong road.

  1. Some Patriots are left in the mil and they’ll have to move quickly to purge them.
Low level bureaucrat pencil pushers will have to do some work during the vetting. (sad trombone)
Have you now or have you ever been a member of the dastardly reich wing militia?
Do you have a snug fitting aluminum foil hat to pick up thoughtcrime receptions?
Is there a flag of the Confederacy (gasp!) in your possession?
Did you ever watch any Dukes of Hazzard reruns as a child?

    • You nailed it. What McCarty is afraid of along with others is that Trump has already declassified documents where McCarty has been revealed as being part of is part ofthe coup to over throw
a duly elected president and is now trying to cover his ass. Watch the Lou Dobbs interview.

Trump who is president until Biden is nominated is the only one with the authority to call in the the NG and Army reserve in DC, as it is a district and not a sate where governors have that authority; And why congress was was in a frantic hurry to impeach Trump. But rest assured, you won’t see that video on any major media or ANTI-social media. And why along with them the chambers in both the house of representatives and the senate, that their chamber pots are over flowing with nervous diarrhea. … Once again we can only anticipate what this week will bring.

      • Does Trump even have a choice. If the FBI lays out a premise, whether valid or not, he has little choice in authorizing such a request.

  2. Wray now says there was no “credible threat”. Not all OSINT is valuable information. The forces deployed and the area cordoned off suggests some may be worried about “Q” videos. Military planners have become way to invested into coming up with various conspiracies and countermeasures as a “preventative” measure. So when a “Q” comes along if fits a narrative to effect deployment. It doesn’t help when a certain former General is involved in disseminating the fallacy. Given all the assets we assume the NRO has at their disposal one would assume they could have identified “Q” by now.

    • Of course they know Q. It resides in a server room somewhere. The reason Q’s messages are so “cryptic” is because it only skims popular phrases off selected (patriotic?) internet chats, then reformulates it as little free-verse poems, the likes of what we had back when e-mail first got popular, and scammers used crude “computer poetry” routines to get past the spam filters. In the end, ‘they” know exactly where to find Q.
Either that, or the guy is the corniest illiterate bullshitter I’ve ever heard of.

  3. This is pathetic. I don’t think China Joe even knows where he is half the time and is being led around by his communist handlers and sooner or later this will all come out. His family should be charged with elderly abuse.

  4. But they weren’t worried at all about the reports of MS13 members who joined our military for the training to pass on to their gang members. But they really should worry about the blow back against them if they give unlawful orders to the military to suppress or even attack American citizens who are peacefully exercising their Constitutional rights.

  5. Where has all this concern been during the past year as antifa and BLM were burning down cities, looting, assaulting, MURDERING people?

Every DAY we are seeing Democrats roll out actions and proposals taken DIRECTLY out of the CCP play book how to “manage” citizenry, Just a matter of time before they start harvesting organs needed for transplants for DC Elitists.

  6. This is downright absurd and I take offense being a 23 year Army Veteran and 3 combat tours to have a civilian questioning our Armed Forces men and women Patriotism.
