Waters appeared onstage at the MTV awards show this weekend with actress Tracee Ellis Ross to present the awards for “Best Fight Against the System” to the cast of “Hidden Figures.”
The audience showered her with applause when she came out, and Ross thanked her for “your voice and how you use it.”
“I will take this moment to go off-script and say: Congresswoman Maxine Waters, thank you for your work,” Ross told the cheering crowd.
She is certainly not the right person to present awards like that after her dealings with Republicans.
We have a few examples of her best in fighting the system.
At the end of April, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) told the LA Times in an article that President Trump is “disgusting” and “disrespectful.” She’s “never seen anybody as disgusting or as disrespectful” as Trump.
Also in April, she suggested Jason Chaffetz is a Russian spy.
On the Chris Hayes show, Waters was asked why she thought Jason Chaffetz was leaving Congress.
“There is a lot of speculation about what he’s doing. There are those who were told that he’s trying to position himself to run for higher office, and I think it’s for governor,” she speculated.
“There are those who think that he, in some ways, have some connections to what is going on in the Ukraine and perhaps in Russia itself and knows something about all of this. I don’t really know. I can’t say, but he’s strange in the way that he’s conducting himself.”
Her lack of eloquence at all times is unmatched. Recently she said about Trump, “We’ve got to stop HIS ass.”
We should also mention that she thinks Russia invaded Korea – some Korea.
In February, she described the Republicans:“I just think the American people need to know what is going on. This is a bunch of scumbags. That’s what they are. They’re all organized around making money,” the uncouth congresswoman said.
She has been voted the most corrupt member of Congress every year since 2006 according to CREW.
For this, she has become a “Political Rock Star” according to Democrats.
