Update: 8:00 pm ET: 33 Democrats want to damage our democracy and are refusing to go to the inauguration, up from 28. The list at the end has been updated to reflect the increased numbers since we posted the article.

Democrats Trying to Help Putin Overturn Our Republic

Twenty-eight Democrats are boycotting the Trump Inaugural and are obviously not going to work with a President Trump. The only reason they are doing this is to damage Donald Trump’s presidency.

The Democrats were worried about Putin damaging our democracy (actually it’s a Republic) but they are doing that for the Russian president Putin themselves. They have done all they possibly can to harm the incoming president.

Representative John Lewis, civil rights hero turned partisan hack, said during a Meet the Press interview Sunday that he will not go to the Inauguration.

Trump wants to improve the inner cities and Lewis won’t work with him or Dr. Carson to make it happen.

Lewis is going with the fake news story about Russians causing Hillary to lose the election. “I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected, and they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.” Lewis said. It’s a “conspiracy” he insisted. For the first time in his 30 year congressional career, he will not go to the Inauguration, he added.

What all of this is about is damaging Trump early in his administration as he tries to enact his 100 day agenda which threatens Barack Obama’s entire legacy.

According to a Washington Post article written on January 21, 2001, Lewis and other members of the Black Caucus boycotted George W. Bush’s inauguration because they didn’t “believe Bush is the true elected president.” Lewis spent the day in his Atlanta district.

They will not accept the election results for partisan reasons. They never do but this one is far more threatening than prior administrations.

In addition to Lewis, the following is the list so far.

Not one of these people are a surprise nor will they be missed.
