The US Attorney General Merrick Garland is finally doing his job but it’s not in the US where dangerous communists are threatening Supreme Court Justices or anywhere in the US as crime rates soar. No sirree, he is doing his job in Ukraine. It must be our 51st state.
He is in Ukraine forming a Justice Department team – a mini DOJ – to investigate war crimes in Ukraine. It will be led by Eli Rosenbaum, a Nazi hunter.

Declaring there is “no hiding place for war criminals,” Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday said the Justice Department had formed a new team [the mini-DOJ] to investigate war crimes and other atrocities committed during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Isn’t he supposed to work for the US? What is this insane involvement with Ukraine really all about?
THE MINI-DOJ HAS A NAME
Garland announced the War Crimes Accountability Team during an unannounced visit to Ukraine. He met with the country’s top prosecutor, Iryna Venediktova, just across the Polish-Ukrainian border.
The team is expected to centralize the Justice Department’s efforts to support investigations into suspected war crimes in Ukraine.
Are they going to accuse Russia of Nazism?
“The US Justice Department will pursue every avenue of accountability for those who commit war crimes and other atrocities in Ukraine,” Garland said. “Working alongside our domestic and international partners, the Justice Department will be relentless in our efforts to hold accountable every person complicit in the commission of war crimes, torture, and other grave violations during the unprovoked conflict in Ukraine.”
Within months of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Garland said the Justice Department was closely monitoring reports of mass graves and evidence of other atrocities. His remarks came days after images emerged of Ukrainian civilians killed in Bucha, a town near Kyiv.
Amid the mounting international outcry, President Joe Biden said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is a “war criminal.”
The department also plans to send two attorneys to US embassies in Europe and in the Middle East. They aim to support the KleptoCapture task force. That is a team that is cracking down on sanctions violations. They are focusing on Russian oligarchs close to Putin’s regime. So far, the team’s efforts have facilitated the seizure of two yachts belonging to Russian oligarchs. They have the approval of warrants to seize two luxury jets from the billionaire Roman Abramovich.
In other words, they’re stealing private property from Russians if they know Putin.
This is a Soros dream. He wants to topple Putin in Russia and Xi in China.
ISN’T GARLAND SUPPOSED TO WORK IN THE US?
Ed Morrissey writes: Here in the US, we have ongoing violations of federal law in a coordinated campaign of intimidation targeting Supreme Court justices. A domestic terrorist group has already conducted attacks on pro-life centers and promises even more of them. The Department of Justice and the Attorney General have remained on the sidelines as those crimes have unfolded.
As Ed Morrissey pointed out this morning, protesting at the homes of Supreme Court Justices isn’t just a bad idea, it’s actually a federal crime. The governors of Virginia and Maryland, where the six targeted justices live, have written a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking him to enforce the law.
