Yesterday, The Independent reported that Trump’s top advisors are telling Trump to get out of the Iran war over fears of political backlash.
Trump appears eager to end the war, but doesn’t want a failed mission. He said they mostly achieved their objectives. But advisors told the president to communicate an exit plan for the joint American and Israeli bombing campaign, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter. They are concerned that Trump will lose all his support. The MAGA base is divided, with some sounding like they’ve lost their minds.
However, Iran launched the largest number of missiles today and appears to have sent boats laden with explosives into two tankers, blowing them up in Iraqi waters.
It might not be so easy to end the war since Iran said it will end when it [the IRGC] says it ends.
Trump has said the war will end soon, but not within a week.
Michael Savage said, “This is the biggest U.S. military operation since the 2003 Iraq invasion. He explains that Americans hate war and that prolonged conflict could shatter the global economy, destabilize the Middle East, and doom Republicans in November.” He noted that the Russians are involved, and we could face domestic terror. This risks World War III, he said.
However, it would be a risk even if we weren’t in Iran. They want to kill us and have for decades. Eventually, it has to be addressed. Iran’s religious zealots can’t get the bomb.
However, as we’ve said, Iran is not Venezuela.
Putin Speaks with Trump
Yesterday, the Kremlin said that President Donald Trump and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin discussed the war in Iran, with the conversation being “frank and businesslike,” according to Putin’s foreign affairs advisor Yuri Ushakov.
The conversation lasted roughly an hour, Ushakov added. Putin “voiced a few ideas aimed at a quick political and diplomatic settlement” of the war on Iran after he spoke with Gulf leaders and Iran’s president, the foreign affairs advisor said.
