London’s Muslim Mayor Downplays London Terrorist Attacks
by Temerity Forthright

The world was rocked again by another savage attack on innocent civilians when terrorists struck London over the weekend.

Seven people were killed and about four dozen injured in two coordinated attacks on the crowded London Bridge and in the Borough Market. Three Muslim attackers, who wore fake suicide vests, were shot and killed by London police. More than a dozen suspects have been arrested and are being questioned by police.

ISIS claimed responsibility for both the Manchester and London attacks.

British Prime Minister Theresa May, in a statement outside 10 Downing Street, condemned Islamist extremism and said “enough is enough.”

But it’s the response by the mayor of London that has outraged people. Sadiq Aman Khan is the first Muslim to be elected as mayor of a western capital city.

Mayor Kahn initially called the London attack “barbaric” and “horrific” and condemned it as “a deliberate and cowardly attack on innocent Londoners and visitors.”

However, Mayor Khan went on to say, “There is no reason to be alarmed by this.”

This, less than two weeks after the murderous attack on children and teens attending the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that left 22 dead and 59 injured.

President Trump rightly slammed Khan for his cavalier comments. A Khan spokesman responded by saying, “He (the mayor) has more important things to do than respond to Donald Trump’s ill-informed tweet that deliberately takes out of context his remarks urging Londoners not to be alarmed…”

But Mayor Kahn blithely told Londoners last year that terrorist attacks are “part and parcel” of living in a big city.

In May of 2016, Mayor Khan condemned then-presidential candidate Donald Trump for his proposed travel ban by touting London’s inclusive approach to counter-terrorism.

This was at the same time as Mayor Khan was trying to un-invite Donald Trump from visiting England.

Khan went on to say that Trump had “an ignorant view of Islam” and that those around him think that, “western liberal values are incompatible with mainstream Islam. London has proved him wrong.”

Now it is Khan who has been proved wrong.

I wonder if Khan would like to take back his words now!
