Shia LaBeouf has begun a 4-year “artistic” protest. He has named his project, “he will not divide us.”
Do Something Idiotic, Just Call It Art
This is an anti-Trump protest that will livestream public voices for the next 4 years. It’s being called art but it’s absolutely asinine.
The actor (along with Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner) just launched the He Will Not Divide Us project outside New York City’s Museum of the Moving Image to protest Donald Trump by livestreaming public voices for the next 4 years.
The artistic nonsense was unveiled Inauguration Day.
The public voices are only invited to say, “he will not divide us” into a camera mounted on a wall. They can repeat the phrase as many times and as long as they wish.
“In this way,” the livestream site explains, “the mantra ‘He will not divide us’ acts as a show of resistance or insistence, opposition or optimism, guided by the spirit of each individual participant and the community.”
Jaden Smith participated, giving it extra publicity. Smith began by reciting the mantra for three-plus hours in front of a growing crowd. You can check the livestream here.
LaBoeuf Goes Off the Rails
A Trump supporter showed up at LaBoeuf’s protest and that sent LaBeouf into full meltdown.

Petty Criminal, a Ticking Time Bomb
LaBeouf was arrested in 2015 for public intoxication. He was out of control and disobeyed police.
He was arrested in 2014 for lighting up a cigarette in a movie theatre. He was drunk and disruptive.
LaBeouf drove under suspicion of drunk driving in 2008 and overturned his car.
Early in the morning of November 4, 2007, a security guard asked LaBeouf to leave a Chicago Walgreens, which LaBeouf refused to do. LaBeouf was arrested for misdemeanor criminal trespassing
In February 2005, LaBeouf was arrested by police in Los Angeles and charged with assault with a deadly weapon after threatening his neighbor by driving into his car. A bystander claimed that LaBeouf “lost his cool” after he had to wait to get access to his garage while the neighbor, who was blocking his path, chatted to his girlfriend. The onlooker said: “Shia began honking his horn and yelling at the guy, but the neighbor told him to wait a minute, and carried on talking to his girlfriend. Then Shia rammed his car into the back of the other guy’s car. Words were exchanged and Shia jumped out and threatened the neighbor.” LaBeouf allegedly appeared at his neighbor’s front door hours later, waving a kitchen knife. The two fought, someone called the police, and LaBeouf was led off in handcuffs.
