The video and the animated map show two opposite things. From around the 5 minute mark to about maybe 5:50 the map shows the ship ( the small green rectangle ) turning to its right ( your right, if you are in the captain seat looking ahead) towards the shore, or towards where the bridge is not as high. Also the animated map shows the channel along which the ship was traveling being perpendicular to the bridge. Which makes sense; to go under a bridge you come at at it at a 90 degree angle , or what is called perpendicular. For those who have not done geometry in years the letter T has two bars that are perpendicular… Read more »

Took a bit to analyze the video; the camera taking the video is on the opposite side of the bridge from the ship. As you look at the video of the ship, the pile (also known as beam, footing, and pier) supporting the bridge are right side of the ship. Any bets that there is far more to this than meets the eye. This being Baltimore I am willing to bet that the port authority is filled with DEI types and I am also willing to bet that this shipping company is filled with DEI types.
