WaPo columnist strikes out at MSM over ‘godfather’ Fauci and the Wuhan lab

Scientists are afraid to criticize “gain-of-function” research because they will lose their funding from NIH and possibly their careers. They could also be called racists. This is according to Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin during an interview on Megyn Kelly’s podcast.

It is very possible that COV came from the Wuhan lab and was the result of gain-of-function research. Although it is not illegal, it is dangerous and needs to be looked at. Unfortunately, he said, we don’t have a media that allows us to discuss this honestly.

Rogin said people don’t want to know that Dr. Fauci could be tied to the research that might have caused the outbreak.

U.S. dependence on China’s supply chain has allowed China to threaten retaliation if the U.S. is critical of China’s role in COVID-19’s outbreak, Rogin writes in his new book.

MORE DETAILS

The simplest explanation for the pandemic’s origin is a leak from a Wuhan lab, according to Rogin. And people don’t want to acknowledge that Dr. Fauci had a role in contributing to the outbreak of COV, according to Rogin.

“People don’t want to think about the fact that our hero of the pandemic Dr. Fauci might also have been connected to this research which might also have been connected to the outbreak” of COVID-19, Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin told The Megyn Kelly Show on Wednesday.

As Rogin said, COV is not a political question, it’s a forensic question.

[It should be]

The Chinese Communist Party for a year has kept people from examining the origins of the virus, Rogin said.

Fauci is director of the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. The NIH has funded “gain of function” research, which aims to predict future pandemics and create vaccines by creating novel strains of viruses. But those strains can be highly transmissible and deadly.

“The head of the entire field really is Anthony Fauci — he’s the godfather of gain-of-function research as we know it,” said Rogin, adding that what he said was “too hot for TV.”

Rogin said people need to be more aware of this type of research and the dangers while not getting involved in “this partisan BS.”

“There’s plenty of evidence to support the still unproven theory that COVID-19 originated from an accidental leak from one of the labs in Wuhan that was doing gain of function research,” Rogin told Kelly.

The Wuhan Institute of Virology lab gathers bats for gain-of-function research on coronaviruses, supported with millions of dollars in U.S. taxpayer funds, Rogin said. The lab is 10 miles from where COVID-19 is thought to have broken out and the lab had “very little to no oversight,” according to Rogin.

“If you were an alien and dropped down on earth” and looked at the evidence, the simplest explanation for the virus’s origin is a lab leak, he said.

Scientists are afraid to speak about it. Many scientists have told him that they cannot say “gain-of-function research might be dangerous or [COV] might have come from a lab.”

Scientists whose whole life work was invested in gain-of-function research would have their careers and legacies “ruined forever.”

“More and more” scientists are feeling free to say it is worth considering if COVID-19 leaked from a lab after the former director of the Centers for Disease Control said he considers a lab leak the most likely source of COVID-19, Rogin said.

U.S. dependence on China’s supply chain has allowed China to threaten retaliation if the U.S. is critical of China’s role in COVID-19’s outbreak, Rogin wrote in his book, “Chaos Under Heaven: Trump, Xi, and the Battle for the Twenty-First Century.”

“Privately but explicitly, Chinese diplomats threatened US State Department officials that they would cut off their exports of medical supplies to the United States if Washington wasn’t careful about the charges that it leveled against Beijing,” Rogin writes of the early days of the pandemic.

“The grim reality of the controls that China was already putting on American companies’ factories there, convinced everyone in the White House that US dependence on critical supply chains in China was a huge problem,” Rogin reports.

The origin of the virus is not a political issue, it’s a public health issue, Rogin said in his interview with Kelly. We need to know the origin of COVID-19, not to blame China but to prevent the next pandemic, he said.

China has blocked access to related information and the World Health Organization is not functioning well, he said.

The media coverage of the lab leak theory has been dismissive and biased because the press believed scientists more than the Trump administration, Rogin said. But Donald Trump is no longer president and “a lot more evidence is now pointing to the lab” a year since the pandemic started, so journalists who said a lab leak was a conspiracy theory should consider if they were mistaken, Rogin said.

Rogin said now that Donald Trump is gone we can talk more freely or should about this. [That’s pathetic but true.]

You can clearly see the effects of Chinas holdback of products in todays markets. It takes months to get certain products and this has caused skyrocketing prices, along with Fed inflation we are getting crushed.

We have out of control rioting, mass shootings, inflation and an invasion on our southern border. Democrats have been in control for only 2 1/2 months….I don`t think we can take 4 years of this. Our country will look like a Mad Max movie.

When scientisst fear losing their life’s work by being transparent in their findings, then science no longer exists. Much the same applies to medicine, as evidenced by the fact that now medical mistakes/malpractice have become the third leading cause of death in the western world.

“Gain-of-Function” research is Bio Warfare research, nothing more and nothing less. Reorts are that when Fauci financed the Wuhan Lab’s “gain-of-function” research, there was a US ban on that kind of research. All indications from the media are that Fauci financed illegal “gain-of-function” research with US Taxpayer Money at a Lab run by a US Military enemy. In my book, that’s the worse form of Treason. Julius and Ethel Rosenberg got the Electric Chair for less than what Fauci has done. Where is the investigation?

They were doing this weapon research here until an accident at one of our colleges. That is when Fauci moved all the research to the wuhan lab in China. If this virus actually exists,it is because Fauci created it. He just happens to own part of the patent, for the vaccine, that is for the poison he created.
