When populations move on, prints are left behind until they’re covered over. In the far, far older Burgess Shale event, some of the oldest organisms ever found were preserved intact because they likely fell into a mudslide and were killed instantly.
In their paper, scientists actually examine why that ancient mud was so special. They were found where they should not have been. They might have been the last people leaving to look for water and a warmer climate.
“An experimental study of modern human footprints in mud flats found that fine details were lost within 2 days and prints were rendered unrecognizable within four, and similar observations have been made for other non-hominin mammal tracks.”
That means their special, tiny batch of preserved footprints were made in unique conditions that also form a kind of “fingerprint” for pinning them all to the same timeframe. From there, scientists started to look at who made the footprints. Homo sapiens weren’t the only upright humanoid primate in the game, but the evidence, the scientists say, suggests we were the ones traipsing through the drying lakebed:
“Seven hominin footprints were confidently identified, and given the fossil and archeological evidence for the spread of H. sapiens into the Levant and Arabia during [the era 130,000 to 80,000 years ago] and absence of Homo neanderthalensis from the Levant at that time, we argue that H. sapiens was responsible for the tracks at Alathar. In addition, the size of the Alathar footprints is more consistent with those of early H. sapiens than H. neanderthalensis.”
These Homo sapiens could be the last ones on their way through a temperate place as an impending ice age descends. That would also explain why their tracks weren’t tracked over by another group, at least not before an entire fresh layer of sediment accumulated.
Imagine, possibly 120,000 years later, we know where and why they journeyed. We are on their journey with them.

Michael Savage gave a depressing commentary on Sunday night that is worth hearing. It’s in two parts: an introduction and a solution that seems beyond our grasp.
Caveat: Michael Savage is very negative.
He began by saying, “The conservative movement is dead. Now, hold on. Hold on. Now I’m not happy to tell you this, but I’m going to tell you this now. I want to go back in time, just a moment, to talk about the subject of the conservative movement being dead.
He then went into a brief history. He states his belief that the three pillars of society are protecting our borders, our language, and our culture. If you agree or somewhat agree with the premise, then this is for you to read or listen to the clips.
“Back in 2005, a man [Michael Savage] wrote a book called Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder. And the first line is, The conservative movement is dead. I take no pleasure in making that observation.’And he goes on to say about this and about the red state, nation state, red states, and the blue states. And he says, I wish that these empty suits and skirts would provide the leadership necessary to defend America from those who would do her harm, instead of taking the side of the enemy!
“Can you think of one speech wherein the Republican leadership has expressed the desire to protect our borders, our language, or our culture? Without those three fundamental pillars of society, no nation can survive, except for a few minor utterances about cultural issues with little or no follow-up. There has been scant support for these conservative principles or values.
“Now, since 2005, we have had a slight resurgence of conservatism in America. In fact, at the beginning of President Trump’s first administration, we had a lot of changes toward the conservative side, not many, but let’s say a good percentage, compared to what we would have had on the other side. However, Donald Trump has since turned virtually against everything that we stand for.
“I hate to say it because I want to be positive; I want to look at the best in people. I want to see only the positive in Donald Trump, in everything he does, and in his administration. But I can’t do it any longer.
The Foreign Wars
“Let’s start with the biggest one, the foreign wars. Everybody knows that this has shattered the conservative movement. One of the chief principles about which Mr. Trump ran was no foreign wars. We all believed in that. It’s one of the principal tenets of conservatism, which is no foreign entanglements. George Washington wrote that now we have a war that doesn’t seem to end.
“Last week, we were told that the Strait of Hormuz was open. The next day, the Iranians said they closed it and put gunboats in there. I don’t understand it, because I thought we had the most powerful navy on earth. How could a bunch of speed boats close the Strait of Hormuz? Well, they have emplacements on the shore, etc, and we’re afraid to run our Navy through the Strait because they can be blown out of the water.
“I mean, you don’t want to know the truth. They’re not invincible. Ships can sink. They’re not invincible. And the last thing that this administration wants is to see an aircraft carrier going down, so they’re not running our ships through the Strait. Have you seen our Navy going through the Strait of Hormuz? No, that’s why Donald Trump wanted foreign navies to go through the Strait to protect it, because he realized that there’s danger. Everyone knows that.
“So, let’s look into this in a little more detail and try to be positive for a moment.
Barack Obama Is Behind It
“So, Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder, ” a book published in 2005, states that the conservative movement is dead. That was after many years of socialism. The trend in America right now, by every small election that I see, is towards socialism, and we know that the brains behind it all is Barack Obama. In fact, when I saw that photo that just came out of Obama sitting with the naked Muslim communist mom’s dummy in New York City, I said, There it is. He literally has just told the world Obama did that. He’s in charge. It’s him. It’s him. All over again.
“Now you would think that Obama, having made hundreds of millions of dollars since his presidency, would have awakened to the fact that his policies were completely antithetical to what he himself was garnering or gaining, but no, he’s true to form. And he basically told us he’s behind virtually everything that’s going on right now. Scientists revived a “zombie worm” that had been frozen for 24,000 years in one of the most forbidding environments in the world.
According to a study published in the scientific journal Current Biology, researchers found that the microscopic organism—identified as a rotifer—is a small, multicellular animal commonly found in freshwater environments that is known for its unusual durability, FOX News reported.
The “zombie worm” has been frozen deep within Siberian permafrost since the Late Pleistocene, the final epoch of the Ice Age.
Despite their microscopic size, rotifers have complex biological features—including digestive systems and simple nervous structures—making their ability to survive long-term freezing especially remarkable.
The phenomenon behind the rotifer’s survival is cryptobiosis—a state in which metabolic activity in organisms slows to almost nothing, allowing certain life forms to endure extreme conditions such as freezing temperatures, dehydration, and oxygen deprivation.
While single-celled life forms or simpler structures have been revived from ice before, the revival of a multicellular organism marks a major breakthrough for scientists, as more complex life forms face greater challenges surviving freezing conditions and thawing without damage.

A cabal of 250 journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, Dan Rather, Sam Donaldson, and Ann Curry wrote that they must band together and “forcefully demonstrate opposition to President Trump’s efforts to trample freedom of the press.” They proclaimed their intentions in a letter to the officers, board of directors, and members of the White House Correspondents Association.

So much for fair and neutral journalists. They aren’t supposed to oppose anyone or take sides. These journalists have no idea of what it means to have a free press. They represent the hard left, and that’s all they represent.

An illegal alien beat a mother fishing with her child and then grabbed the child. He proceeded to eat her face. The mother didn’t know the man. It’s unclear how much damage was done to the 3-year-old, but some reports describe serious injury. Monster Atharva Vyas was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, for an unprovoked attack. Gabriella Perez, 27, told KSAT that she and her family were fishing at the park when the attack happened. She said Vyas was a stranger who appeared from the woods before he began punching her and grabbing her by the hair, causing her to drop her daughter.
The San Antonio Police Department’s preliminary report said Vyas pulled Perez’s hair as she walked away with the child. Perez fell to the ground and dropped her daughter, police said.
“He tried poking at (her) eyes with his thumb,” Perez said. “He hit me. He was a big man. I just remember laying there and looking for (her daughter), and I just saw him on top trying to do the thumb.”
Perez said Vyas began biting her daughter’s face. She compared the attack to a horror scene.
“I think when everyone was there, I got up and was like this is like a f—— zombie movie. Like what the heck,” Perez said.
