However, in the Full Metal Jacket movie Sergeant Hartman got shot by the recruit he abused (Pyle) but had become his best soldier. The Person who made that Movie, Full Metal Jacket, used “Hartman” as a Vilian: A “gross and obscene” manifestation of Evil that turned the Squad against the Weakling rather than Prescribing Pyle Extra PT and building the Team. Pyle had Talent; but he was overweight and needed some extra help getting fit, No Big. In War, Pyle, would have been an Asset.
