When Barack Obama pardoned thousands of felons, pretending they were wrongly imprisoned for marijuana, Speaker Ryan pushed to rollback sentencing policies with the then-president. When Obama pardoned a FALN terrorist Lopez Rivera, Speaker Ryan said nothing insofar as we know. It was different when President Trump pardoned Sheriff Arpaio Friday. Ryan decided to join in the trashing of President Trump with two other neverTrumpers John McCain and Jeff Flake.
Speaker Ryan opposes President Trump’s pardoning of the former Sheriff, 85-year old Joe Arpaio, according to one of his aides. The Sheriff was facing six months in prison after spending decades trying to uphold the law.
“The speaker does not agree with this decision,” said Doug Andres, a spokesman for Ryan. “Law enforcement officials have a special responsibility to respect the rights of everyone in the United States. We should not allow anyone to believe that responsibility is diminished by this pardon.”
Ryan never stops attacking the President. Look at his pinned tweet over the Democrat invented crisis of words over Charolltesville. Ryan isn’t stupid, he knows it was a fake catastrophe of racism.

Democrats, who are completely comfortable with the lawlessness of Antifa, BLM, Barack Obama, are worried that Trump is not respectful of the law. Ryan, McCain and Flake have no problem playing into that mantra.
Democrats like to say that the Sheriff is a racist but none of this has to do with racism. It’s about power, destroying our sovereignty and keeping our borders open.
Jeff Flake likes to pander to his illegal immigrant constituency. He too joined in.

Sheriff Arpaio was following the law when Obama and the lawless Holder DoJ decided to change the law and make stopping of illegals into an issue of profiling. Many Republicans went along with Obama at the time.
McCain has said that he preferred Barack Obama as a leader. Obama’s Marxist policies are just fine with McCain.

Unlike the Progressive Republicans, Rep. Trent Franks, supported the pardon, calling Arpaio a “patriot.”
“In his last days, (President) Obama commuted the prison sentence of Chelsea Manning — a treasonous intelligence analyst who shared a trove of intelligence with the infamous Wikileaks,” Franks, R-Ariz., said Saturday in a statement to Fox News.
“While no one can dispute Manning acted to undermine our country’s national security, Joe Arpaio has spent a lifetime trying to maintain it. … It is easy to discern that Arpaio is a patriot, while Manning is a traitor.”
It is the same argument the White House made: The White House said Friday that the 85-year-old Arpaio was a “worthy candidate” for the pardon, citing his “life’s work of protecting the public from the scourges of crime and illegal immigration.”
A number of felons Obama reprieved went back to crime.
Robert M. Gill, 68, had his life sentence for cocaine and heroin distribution conspiracy commuted by Obama in 2016. Gill was arrested in February.
A Texas crack-dealing grandmother was re-arrested in June for stealing laundry detergent.
Damarlon Thomas’s 19-year sentence for cocaine dealing was commuted by two months in former president Obama’s program of releasing drug dealers and terrorists. He was executed by his drug dealing gang friends. He had been safer in jail.
Obama released drug kingpins and other very bad people. No complaints from Ryan.
