Fairly despicable suggestion by hard-left Rep. Ilhan Omar

Rep. Ilhan Omar is really clueless when it comes to respecting American values nor does she care about our military heritage. Another example of this came when she pushed an article on a far-left site, claiming the “ethos” of the G.I. bill should apply to all Americans.

She can take her ethos and fly back to Somalia with it. My family earned that bill through sacrifice, and the ultimate sacrifice in wartime. They didn’t get it as a freebie from some dingbat socialist with her head still back in a foreign land.

The Minnesota Democrat liked an AlterNet piece last week by Marine veteran Will Fischer, titled “A veteran explains why we need a new version of the G.I. Bill — for everyone,” and decided to tweet about it.

“Imagine what it would do for our country and those who live here if we were to take the ethos behind the original G.I. Bill and apply it to everybody—canceling all student debt and making public colleges, universities, and vocational schools tuition-free,” the far-left America hater tweeted.

Imagine instead that Omar gets voted out next election and we all don’t have to hear her communist propaganda any longer.

A SAMPLING OF RESPONSES

The GI Bill was passed by Congress in 1944 and was explained this way by The Department of Veterans Affairs:

Before the war, college and homeownership were, for the most part, unreachable dreams for the average American. Thanks to the GI Bill, millions who would have flooded the job market instead opted for education. In the peak year of 1947, Veterans accounted for 49 percent of college admissions. By the time the original GI Bill ended on July 25, 1956, 7.8 million of 16 million World War II Veterans had participated in an education or training program. Millions also took advantage of the GI Bill’s home loan guaranty. From 1944 to 1952, VA backed nearly 2.4 million home loans for World War II Veterans.

Leave the GI Bill out of communist/socialist propaganda.
