367 House Members Send a Warning Letter to the President Over Iranian Nuke Deal

O-!

Some House members – 367 in all – have sent a letter to Barack Obama warning him to present the Iranian nuclear agreement to Congress before he signs it.

Most members of Congress are very concerned about this upcoming Iranian deal, which he has kept secret. The outrageous comments by Iranians and acts of terrorism orchestrated by the Ayatollah have not slowed the nuclear agreement President Obama plans to unilaterally complete with the Iranians.

Ayatollah Khamenei gave another anti-American speech over the weekend with an audience that spontaneously chanted “Death to America.” Khamenei responded to the chants saying, “Of course, death to America.”

Of course and Heil Hitler. What’s the difference?

President Obama has indicated that he will go directly to the U.N. Security Council for approval of the nuke deal, bypassing our own U.S. Congress. He has also suggested that he will keep details of the deal secret, not only from the public, but from Congress.

If the president goes directly to the U.N., China and Russia will drop sanctions quicker than any deal will allow and nothing our Congress does 18 months from now will matter.

A letter from 367 House members, including 10 key Democrats, warns the president that action will be taken if he ignores Congress.

Rep. Ed Royce, Rep. Eliot Engel and 365 other House members sent the bipartisan letter to President Obama.

The letter says in part:

“In reviewing such an agreement, Congress must be convinced that its terms foreclose any pathway to a bomb, and only then will Congress be able to consider permanent sanctions relief. Resolving the nuclear crisis with Iran remains of grave importance to our nation’s security. As the Administration continues to negotiate with Iran, we are prepared to evaluate any agreement to determine its long-term impact on the United States and our allies. We remain hopeful that a diplomatic solution preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon may yet be reached, and we want to work with you to assure such a result.”

Hopefully, Congress will do something if Obama’s secret deal creates a pathway to a bomb and launches an arms race, which some say is already underway.

Over the weekend, the Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper said we have a good sense of what Iran’s capabilities are and where they keep the weapons. That’s imaginary knowledge, not real.

When France is tougher than the U.S., you know we’re in trouble. They are asking for a 15-year sunset clause. The U.S. is allegedly considering 5 or ten years.

Mr. Obama is talking about abstaining on U.N. votes against Israel and he is reassessing our policies with the Middle East. This is getting very serious and very alarming. The New York Times – Obama’s state-sponsored media – even said Obama is “antagonistic” and has no interest “in repairing the rift.”

Barack Obama does not instill confidence and should not be acting alone on something as serious as a nuclear deal.
