Radical Socialist-Democratic candidate for president Bernie Sanders, in the wake of the execution of a Texas Sheriff’s deputy, told Jake Tapper on State of the Union Sunday that “it is not acceptable in this country when unarmed black people get dragged out of cars or get shot. That is happening too often. So, in my view, we need major reforms of our criminal justice system, which, by the way, Jake, means that our police officers are better paid, are better trained, and we end this absurdity in America of having more people in jail than any other major country on earth, including China.”
He began by saying the police have a difficult job, it’s terrible the officer was executed, and he will push community policing which is a socialist approach to policing. We are seeing now how that is working.
He didn’t sound so much empathetic as agenda-driven.
Go to 05:00:
A deputy is slaughtered by a racist and Bernie thinks it’s a good time to claim that black men are being dragged out of cars and executed. We need to see his evidence for that. Isn’t this rhetoric going to gin up more hate?
At 3:28, he begins to spew nonsense about Barack Obama’s failure being his attempts to negotiate with the Republicans in Congress as if that is even remotely true. Obama told Republicans it was his way or the highway. He doesn’t negotiate.
What Bernie wants is to only use pen and phone approaches.
Bernie is a Communist, not a Socialist by the way, but radical Socialist works too.
Meanwhile, the family of Deputy Goforth is devastated. Sanders’ comments might seem very inappropriate to some of us. Sanders is an angry old man who speaks to hate, not unity or reconciliation.
