Obama has been up to something big. His upcoming executive orders will affect our gun rights and the people he is consulting with are gun grabbers. He’s been talking to people who advocate gun confiscation and he’s checking with lawyers on how far he can go.
While executive orders are not laws, once they are engrained, who will revoke them in 2016?
He gave yet another speech Friday and he again tried to draw equivalence between mass shootings and terrorism. When Roberta Rampton asked him about the difficulty of detecting terror plots in advance.
Obama compared terror attacks to mass shootings.
“Well, Roberta, you’re absolutely right that it’s very difficult for us to detect lone wolf plots or plots involving a husband and wife in this case, because despite the incredible vigilance and professionalism of all our law enforcement, homeland security, etc., it’s not that different from us trying to detect the next mass shooter. You don’t always see it, they are not always communicating publicly and if you are not catching what they are saying publicly, then it becomes a challenge,” Obama said.
An article at CNN Friday reported that President Barack Obama met Wednesday with former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a proponent of strict gun laws. Bloomberg has become the chief enemy of the National Rifle Association.
Obama has met with a series of gun control advocates in recent weeks, including Gabby Giffords, as his aides complete work on a potential order expected to expand background checks on gun sales by closing the so-called “gun show loophole.” Who knows what else it will do.
Valerie Jarrett was in on these meetings.
Totalitarian Bloomberg has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to try and destroy the NRA and the gun rights of Americans.
In 2014, he said he wanted to keep guns out of the hands of minorities.
Bloomberg is definitely after hand guns.
Watch as he talks about hand guns, not so-called assault rifles using his false stats:
Since 2012, he’s been telling Obama to ignore congress. “It’s time for the president, I think, to stand up and lead and tell this country what we should do, not go to Congress and say what you guys want to do,” Bloomberg said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “This should be his No. 1 agenda.”
Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns includes some very unsavory characters as members:
The New York Post ran a piece on Nov. 29, 2013, about the group titled, “Illegal mayors against guns.” Among those cited were:
*Marcus Hook Mayor Schiliro was convicted of a gun-related crime.
* Monticello, N.Y. Mayor Gordon Jenkins was arrested in November 2013 for driving under the influence and punching a police department clock, forcing officers to handcuff him to a chair.
* Spring Valley, N.Y. Mayor Noramie Jasmin was charged with accepting bribes from an FBI informant in April 2013.
* Gainesville, Fla. Mayor Craig Lowe was charged with driving under the influence after he was found asleep at the scene of a car accident.
The Second Amendment Foundation started a spoof website, Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors at www.StopIllegalMayors.com. The 11 former mayors and MAIG members listed on the site that were charged or convicted include:
* Former Baltimore, Md. Mayor Sheila Dixon, charged with fraud, perjury, and embezzling gift cards meant for the poor.
* Former Hartford, Conn. Mayor Eddie Perez, charged with bribery and conspiracy.
* Former New Haven, Conn. Mayor April Almon, charged with interfering with police officers on duty.
* Former Detroit, Mich. Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, convicted of perjury.
We need guns to protect ourselves from former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gun control groups.
Poughkeepsie Mayor John Tkazyik published a statement in the Poughkeepsie Journal in February, 2014 admitting the group’s true intentions – total disarmament of law-abiding gun owners.
“Under the guise of helping mayors facing a crime and drug epidemic, MAIG intended to promote confiscation of guns from law-abiding citizens,” Tkazyik said, confirming what many already suspected about the group.
“Nearly 50 pro-Second Amendment mayors have left the organization. They left for the same reason I did,” he added.
Tkazyik isn’t the first to cast these allegations. In 2007, the mayor of Williamsport, Pa., also said she left after witnessing “dubious” attempts to subvert the Second Amendment. “I have learned that the coalition may be working on issues which conflict with legal gun ownership, and that some actions on your behalf are dubious,” then-Williamsport Mayor Mary Wolf wrote in a letter to Bloomberg himself.
In December 2013 in Austin, Texas City Councilman Mike Martinez singled out a protestor carrying a “Stop the Gun Ban” sign and told him, “…there is no gun ban currently, but because of the work we’re doing here today, we will make your sign legitimate shortly, so you hang on to that.”
Governor Andrew Cuomo has talked of gun confiscation as has Jerry Brown.
Anything this president does over the next year will set the stage. It’s going to be a slow erosion or a full-scale assault.
