Ginsberg Promises to Overturn Our Right to Self-Defense with a Firearm

Are we really free if one lawyer on the Supreme Court can take our Second Amendment and any Amendment away?

Associate U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently gave some very controversial interviews condemning Donald Trump though it is highly unethical for a sitting justice to do. What didn’t get much notice except from The Daily Caller and Ammoland were her statements about the Heller decision and her intent to overturn it.

The District of Columbia v. Heller held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms. Ginsburg signed onto Justice John Paul Stevens and Justice Stephen Breyer’s dissents in Heller and Breyer’s dissent in McDonald v. Chicago, which applied Heller’s protections to the actions of state and local governments.

The write-up of an interview Ginsburg gave to the New York Times contained the following:

“I thought Heller was “a very bad decision,” she said, adding that a chance to reconsider it could arise whenever the court considers a challenge to a gun control law.

The Daily Caller reported that the NY Times altered the story and removed the portion about Ginsberg’s contention that “a chance to reconsider [Heller] could arise whenever the court considers a challenge to a gun control law.”

The Times later returned the section without explanation. Certainly they don’t want people to know what they’re up to.

Do we really have freedom when one left-wing, corrupt justice can overturn our Bill of Rights and rewrite law?

Justices are supposed to interpret not write law.

This is the first time Ginsberg actually said she wanted to overturn Heller.

This is what is at stake if we don’t vote Trump.

The much-demonized NRA organization is one of our few protections. The left only wants protections for themselves. They have their unions and special interest groups including violent domestic terrorists but we are not allowed to have the NRA.

The NRA protects our “precious right to self-defense.”

Chris Cox of the NRA spoke to the RNC last night and his speech can be heard below.

We were one vote away from losing the Second Amendment before Heller and now with Justice Scalia’s death we no longer have that vote. Hillary said the Supreme Court was wrong on Heller so we know how she will go on this.

If we don’t vote for Trump, we will lose the Supreme Court and our Amendments, starting withe the Second which protects the rest.

  1. Go easy on us old timers, I’m 76, still enjoy the shooting sports and defend the Second Amendment. Moved out of the ‘Gun Free State of California’ just because of the governments attack on the Second Amendment. If the Hill of S gets in office, the Second Amendment will be so watered down so as to cease to exist for individuals. That is the direction several states are taking, passing unconstitutional laws, which have to be appealed to the USSC to be voided, however with enough (one more) liberal judge, they will be upheld stating that the Second Amendment only applies to States, and the State can pass any law they desire, as it will no longer apply to individuals (wording be damned.) Just look at the First Amendment and how it has been twisted completely around.

  2. She is out of her head, there will be a revolution before that happens. These 70 +old people are senile (Pelosi,Weinstine, Reid ,her and some more) and should be tested with a clinical battery of psychological evaluations from time to time , to be sure the cheese is still on the cracker-

  3. You know her security uses guns to protect her when she is in public. Stick her on a Friday night in the ghetto of Chicago and see how she feels about having a gun to protect yourself after that.

  4. No. She can attempt to rule all she wants, but she cannot trump (pardon the pun) the US Constitution. She is not allowed that power she only WANTS that power. So no. Just no. Does anyone really think they want CWII? Ken

  5. Ginzberg is senile! She falls asleep in addresses to congress and has out lived her usefulness as an impartial judge!
