Amnesty Bill Is Worse Than We Thought

The 1500-page illegal immigration bill is amnesty. It is not only amnesty for people here illegally, it’s amnesty for their family and people already deported.

Rep. Lamar Smith said the Senate’s amnesty bill is “worse” than he thought. It gives amnesty to relatives and others who have been deported.

“It’s hard to believe,” Rep. Smith wrote in a statement, “but the Senate immigration bill is worse than we thought. Despite assurances, the border is not secured before almost everyone in the country illegally is given amnesty. The bill guarantees there will be a rush across the border to take advantage of massive amnesty.

And the Senate proposal offers amnesty to far more illegal immigrants than we thought. In addition to most of the 11 million illegal immigrants already in the country, the bill offers to legalize the relatives of illegal immigrants outside the U.S. and even others who have already been deported back home. So current immigration laws are shredded.

The Senate bill is bad news for the American people. The good news is that the House Judiciary Committee will come up with a better plan that improves our immigration system and puts the interests of American workers first.”

Sen. Bob Menendez praised the bill for recognizing families.

Amnesty is a pardon, a forgiveness. This bill gives illegal immigrants and others “legal status.” Once they have legal status, there is no longer any such thing as illegal immigration.

Allowing entire families and previously deported people amnesty means the 11 million are now a possible 30 million who can take jobs from citizens. This will invite a rush for the border and it will level a devastating blow to our jobs and our economy. If this bill passes, you will all of a sudden see a registration of about 30 million.

Senator Rubio said that the legal illegals will not be allowed to collect from any of the welfare programs. Are we going to drop them from welfare and food stamp programs or not let them join and then let them starve in the streets? Will we have this impoverished under class of legal non-citizens?

The push to give them citizenship would be almost immediate.

Republicans would never win another election. Many of the illegal immigrants come from socialist, communist, big government countries. They believe in big government and entitlements, and they will vote for it here as they have in their own country.

The ICE Union said the bill does nothing to protect us because there is a major loophole in the bill that gives the government  “discretion” to choose when to enforce immigration laws.” We know how that will go.  Napolitano released thousands of illegal criminals and then feigned ignorance of it.

The union representing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents has long complained that the Obama administration has made their job harder by preventing agents from detaining and deporting select illegal immigrants. National ICE Council President Chris Crane said “this legislation again does nothing to resolve that.”
