One could say Beyonce injected herself into the Superbowl by releasing the explicit version of her song, Formation, the day before the Superbowl and then announcing she might perform it. She performed the abbreviated version without the anti-police lyrics but the word got out about the intent of the song. Surely the Obamas knew when they did this interview, being they are all so “tight.”
Gayle King interviewed Barack and Michelle Obama prior to the Superbowl and asked them what they eat, drink, and do they scream at the television. Barack said they do scream at the TV, they’re “just like everybody else.”
It’s like living in one of the Third World countries where you see the dear leader’s face and hear his voice every time you turn on the radio or the TV.
What struck me was the fact that they were asked if they cared about Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Beyonce, emphasis on the Beyonce. Michelle joked and said, “I care deeply about the halftime show.” King asked if she had talked to Beyonce about any “dance moves.” Michelle teased about putting her dance moves into Beyonce’s new album. “You gotta put this in your new video,” Michelle joked and then added, “No Gayle, I didn’t take to Beyonce about dance moves.”
King said, “No, because, listen, I know you guys are tight.”
Anyone who has heard Beyonce’s new album knows it’s racist and anti-police and Socialist Beyonce and her Socialist husband are “tight” with the Obamas.
Beyonce’s new song, the explicit version, is free, probably because she has a message to send.
