Barack Obama is, as the NY Times said, “antagonistic” towards Netanyahu and has no interest “in repairing the rift.” He wants Israel to go back to 1967 borders and he sees the latest battle as a way of making that happen. He is accelerating the dispute between them and will continue to do so, partly out of revenge and partly to get the end result he wants.
Turning the West Bank over to Israel is another gift to Iran, the backers of Hamas.
Barack Obama is marshaling anti-Israel forces against Israel and attempting to reduce Netanyahu’s stature in the world.
Consider the evidence.
White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough spoke to J-Street this past weekend and called them an occupying power.
“An occupation that has lasted for almost 50 years must end, and the Palestinian people must have the right to live in and govern themselves in their own sovereign state,” McDonough said.
J-Street, the Israel-hating liberals, are cheering Obama’s threats to abandon Israel at the U.N. if they don’t turn over the West Bank to their enemies – the Palestinian Authority and the Iranian-backed terror group Hamas. They also want Obama to no longer veto the U.N. Security Council resolutions calling on Israel to halt settlements (apartments).
The Jewish Daily Forward quoted the organization’s president as saying, “We are very glad to hear the Obama administration is reconsidering its approach to the Israeli Palestinian conflict.”
J-Street is taking their cues from Obama. They are using Obama’s faux racism mantra and calling Netanyahu a racist. It is a strictly partisan attack that Obama has used successfully in the United States.
Immediately before the election, Netanyahu warned that Arabs were being brought to polling stations on buses, which was true and which is no different than anyone saying a particular voting constituency was being bused in.
Israelis and Palestinians are the same race in any case.
In an article by Dan Greenfield titled “Main Man”, Greenfield said this:
Netanyahu’s conservative Likud Party got its best numbers not in Jerusalem, where it only won a quarter of the vote, or Sderot, the city under siege where it still got less than half, or Maaleh Adumim, a city of some 40,000 known as a “settlement” because it is located in ’67 Israel where it also took less than half.
Its best numbers appear to have come from Arab-al-Naim, a Bedouin settlement, where it scored three-quarters of the vote.
The residents were uninterested in any of the accusations of racism being aimed at Netanyahu by the media. Instead they were interested in housing. As one resident put it, “I used to sleep in a cave with my goats. Now I ask my daughter what wallpaper she wants in her room.”
Obama insulted Netanyahu again yesterday.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Obama joined Arab Knesset members in questioning Prime Minister Netanyahu’s apology.
Three days ago, Obama and the Arab MKs gave nearly identical statements saying they did not trust the sincerity of Netanyahu’s apology.

Netanyahu has been apologizing and trying to make amends but Obama is intent on destroying Netanyahu at all costs. Netanyahu won the election but Obama will make sure he doesn’t enjoy one day of that success. Prior to the election, Obama’s people, backed by U.S. taxpayer funds, campaigned heavily against Netanyahu in Israel.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that the Obama administration is accusing the Israelis of spying on the closed-door Iran talks.
“The espionage didn’t upset the White House as much as Israel’s sharing of inside information with U.S. lawmakers and others to drain support from a high-stakes deal intended to limit Iran’s nuclear program, current and former officials said. ‘It is one thing for the U.S. and Israel to spy on each other. It is another thing for Israel to steal U.S. secrets and play them back to U.S. legislators to undermine U.S. diplomacy,’ said a senior U.S. official briefed on the matter.”
The White House learned of the operation, the paper reported, when U.S. intelligence agencies “intercepted communications among Israeli officials that carried details the U.S. believed could have come only from access to the confidential talks, officials briefed on the matter said.”
In other words, the Obama administration could have only found out by spying on Israel.
Israel has denied the claim and said, according to the WSJ that they found out “through other means, including close surveillance of Iranian leaders receiving the latest U.S. and European offers. European officials, particularly the French, also have been more transparent with Israel about the closed-door discussions than the Americans, Israeli and U.S. officials said.”
Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon said “there is no way” that Israel spied on its closest and most important ally.
Yaalon said it has been “strictly forbidden” by all Israeli leaders over the past two decades — especially the current government — not to spy on the Americans.
“I am sorry it came out this way,” he said. “Apparently someone has an interest in sparking a dispute, or creating a bad atmosphere in our relations,” he said, as reported by ABC News.
Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer is reported to have met with U.S. lawmakers and shared details on the Iran negotiations to warn about the terms of the deal after Obama warned Israel not to share details of the deal.
Like a tinpot dictator, Obama wants to keep the deal secret from the public and from the U.S. Congress. He has a pen and phone and rules unilaterally.
When Obama finally did call Netanyahu after the election, it wasn’t to apologize, according to Mark Levin who got word of the details of the conversation. Obama demanded Netanyahu withdraw his ambassador.
Barack Obama insisted that Benjamin Netanyahu remove his ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer. Netanyahu said he would not. Obama pressed the case. Netanyahu said he will not.
Obama attacked Netanyahu, he said, for the last days of the campaign when he called out the Arabs. And he attacked Netanyahu for his statements about the two state solution.
Unfortunately Netanyahu’s position is that he still supports a two-state solution. However he said as long as that other state is committed to Israel’s demise, as long as they won’t disarm, as long as they will not recognize Israel as a Jewish state, how can there be a two state solution? As I say, the two-state solution would be a final solution.
And so it was a disrespectful, rude conversation on Obama’s part, not a congratulatory ‘oh you won’.
Obama is out to get Netanyahu and he has J-Street and other assorted leftists to help him do it. The Obama ruse of claims of racism might not work in Israel however.
