The facts about the Ted Cruz sex scandal is that there are few if any facts presented yet, mostly just rumors.  It’s being called the Thing on Twitter.

#theThing is a hashtag Twitter discussion that refers to Ted Cruz’s supposed mistress(es). Some say there aren’t five mistresses but there is one, others say two. #theThing has been traveling around Twitter for at least a month.

The hashtag #CruzSexScandal is used less because some feel it has been censored by Twitter. It’s now been replaced by #theThing. Those tweeting under that hashtag claim theThing is former Cruz staffer and current Trump SPOX Katrina Pierson who has denied it or that it is Amanda Carpenter, another former staffer and big supporter. Be sure to read Mrs. Carpenter’s tweets in response at the end of the piece.

The other claim is the media has been sitting on it.

RUMORS CAN EASILY DESTROY A CANDIDATE

The alleged Cruz sex scandal is not yet backed up with evidence but that doesn’t stop the bleeding. Conservative Outfitters says they asked 30,000 voters if they believed the Cruz sex scandal. As of March 28, 65% (19,678) of their voters think Ted Cruz did have an affair while 35% (10,595) say Cruz did not have an affair.

The damage from a rumor is extensive even before the facts are in. Ted Cruz falls prey to this because many don’t see him coming off as sincere.

1.THE HEIDI DESTRUCTION

Trump threatened Heidi Cruz on Twitter and then Trump’s confidante Roger Stone released information about her alleged nervous breakdown. That was tied to the first Melania GQ photo kerfuffle.

2.CRUZ-CARPENTER TATTOO PHOTO

There is a also a photo circulating of Ted Cruz sporting the same temporary tattoo as Amanda Carpenter which they are said to have gotten on the same day. There is a tweet of Mrs. Carpenter showing her tattoo in a sexy pose  – allegedly – while wearing Cruz’s jacket [see her tweets below in response].

3. DREW JOHNSON SAYS IT’S TRUE

A former writer for the Washington Times Drew Johnson said he knows it to be true though he presented no evidence. The Washington Times has severed their relationship with Johnson and said they haven’t taken articles from him for a year though he still gets checks, copies of which he posted on Twitter.

4. BREITBART ALLEGEDLY KNOWS AND IS SITTING ON IT

Allum Bokhari, a Breitbart reporter, has tweeted about a big story and about hating being scooped. He has since tweeted that the story is out and the tweet links to a story about Ted Cruz having a favorite My Little Pony character. The pro-Trump outlet has not dealt with the Cruz scandal.

5.ROGER STONE, ONE NASTY DIRTY TRICKS GUY, CONTINUES THE RUMOR MONGERING

Roger Stone is out giving interviews, again saying the sex scandal is true, that it started with Marco Rubio’s people, and Cruz is really establishment because his wife worked with Condoleeza Rice at the National Security Council. First off, I work with a lot of liberals and I’m hardly a liberal and second, Heidi has lost her momentum at Goldman-Sachs because she refused to try and stop Cruz’s government closure.

Stone also uses as evidence the fact that sometimes the Enquirer gets it right. He says that Cruz should sue him and why isn’t he? The truth is that would make the entire campaign about this alleged affair(s) and would be a terrible idea.

6. WHERE IT STARTED

It’s not clear that the rumor started with the Rubio campaign but Rick Wilson, a Florida GOP consultant and Rubio supporter has been tweeting since early March.

There were rumors circulating that Marco Rubio had mistresses and was gay which timed well with these rumors. It’s all reminiscent of the Herman Cain fiasco.

7. MIKE CERNOVITCH IS COLLECTING SMOKE

Writer Mike Cernovitch has taken over the Enquirer’s role on Twitter and says where there is smoke, there is fire and there is a lot of smoke in this case. He manages a powerful Twitter site and his own website. He says the media is easy to control via Twitter. The WaPo or any of the others would never hire him, he says, because he follows the truth wherever it takes him though his tweets about Cruz so far deal with rumor, innuendo and what he calls “smoke” which he sees a lot of according to his reporting on his site.

The media and the audience are truly very easy to manipulate as he says and we need to keep that in mind unless some evidence shows up. Ted Cruz told Sean Hannity last night that every bit of the National Enquirer story was “completely false.”

  1. After Slick Willie’s antics, the bar has been forever lowered … to the ground.
I frankly could not possibly care less about who has been “doing” whom.

The entire future of our nation hangs in the balance here as we near the point of no return. We the People are literally fighting for our lives and, more importantly, the lives and futures of our children. We either put all the minutia aside and focus on the urgent matters before us, or this nation will be forever lost.

We currently see a Democrat party completely co-opted by Marxists, Socialists, the radical Left (all Blue Dogs having been euthanized) and a Republican party that does not even care who prevails politically, as long as the Blue Bloods keep control of their own fortunes and pieces of the power pie.

So in the greater scheme of it all, so long as there are no laws broken ala Slick Willie style of raping and assaulting, I do not care.
