One of the largest meetings of the most dangerous al-Qaida leaders took place without a reaction from the U.S.
Newsmax reported that Michigan Rep. Mike Rogers, chair of the House Intelligence Committee, would not say if the recent meeting of 100 al-Qaida leaders in Yemen was held unbeknownst to the U.S. or if we didn’t have time to send a drone to attend. He did say al-Qaida has changed their method of communicating since the Edward Snowden leaks, relying mostly on couriers.
Al-Wuhayshi, the No. 2 leader of al-Qaida worldwide and the head of AQAP (al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula), was at the meeting, according to a video posted on jihadist websites. AQAP is the most dangerous wing of al-Qaida and has even been condemned by Iran at times for their incredible viciousness. They’re too dangerous for many terrorists.
Al-Wuhayshi is seen in the video from the meeting which appeared on terrorist websites saying: “We must eliminate the cross. The bearer of the cross is America.”

AQAP has a bomb maker – Ibrahim al-Asiri – who can put undetectable bombs on planes, which makes them an imminent threat to the U.S. and U.S. interests.
Wuhayshi held this meeting of 100 terrorists out in the open, unconcerned about U.S. retaliation.
Wuhayshi was bin Laden’s personal aide and is replacing al-Libi who was executed by drone this past year. Wuhayshi was at the battle of Tora Bora, ended up in Iran, was deported and escaped from one of the Yemeni paper prisons in 2006.
He’s expert on the Internet and helped launch Inspire magazine, the al-Qaida magazine that instructs wannabe terrorists how to be successful at suicide bombing, making bombs, and engaging in other types of terrorist activities. The Boston bombers had Inspire magazines in their homes.
Communications about a meeting he organized last year were intercepted by the U.S. and resulted in the closing of U.S. embassies.
The Daily Beast said he organized the meeting with Zawahiri and it involved “leaders from Nigeria’s Boko Haram, the Pakistani Taliban, al Qaeda in Iraq, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, and more obscure al Qaeda affiliates such as the Uzbekistan branch.” Wuhayshi is the General Manager of all the al-Qaida groups.
Thanks to Edward Snowden, we are likely to not be able to detect these meetings in advance. For his misdeed, the Pulitzer Prize, a coveted prize for newspapers and online journalism, was given to the Guardian and the Washington Post for helping him leak U.S. secrets.
The Pulitzer committee praised the Guardian for its “revelation of widespread secret surveillance by the National Security Agency, helping through aggressive reporting to spark a debate about the relationship between the government and the public over issues of security and privacy”.
I understand the privacy issue, but the journalists aided and abetted a traitor who released information that endangers not only Americans, but anyone who is in the way. It is information that was given to Russia and China, two very dangerous countries. The Prize is administered by the far-left loons at Columbia University in New York City. NYC has become a nesting place for communists, socialists, democratic socialists who have found homes in the city’s universities.
This is an upside-down world that would make George Orwell proud.
