Obamacare: Poor Children & Seniors Will Be Forcibly Placed on Medicaid

Thousands of seniors and children are now eligible for Medicaid because of Obamacare and that’s a bad thing. The people shifting to Medicaid are people who were covered under far better plans than Medicaid, one of the worst healthcare plans available.

They will have no choice and will be forcibly moved in January to the poorer quality Medicaid.

The reason for the shift is Obamacare! Under Obamacare, any child whose parents earn between 100% and 133% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) will be forcibly moved off of CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Plan) and into Medicaid.

Section 2001(a)(5)(B) of Obamacare made the children whose parents earned between 100% and 133% of FPL a “mandatory” Medicaid population.

This Obamacare provision will have a similar effect on seniors who are eligible for Medicare and whose incomes fall into the income category in the bill.
