Obamacare’s Rapid Descent Into Single Payer Deathcare

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself. ~ Thomas Paine

HHS wrote another rule – one of thousands – as they rewrite the law unconstitutionally. This rule delays commitments to insurance companies. The individual mandate is not delayed and we all must have health insurance.

The fine for not signing up is only $95 or 1% of one’s income. The young and the poor will not purchase insurance at a cost of $5,000 or more. The fine increases each year and within the next two years, the fine goes up to $695 or 2 1/2 % of one’s income. Eventually, within five years or thereabouts, the fine goes into the 4 figures.

At the same time, companies will drop healthcare for employees, forcing them onto the exchanges, because they can’t afford to do otherwise.

While people are not buying insurance, the private healthcare insurers will begin to go out of business, leaving us fewer choices and less competition. The cost of healthcare will necessarily rise.

When that happens, the public will have few options other than government healthcare through the exchanges. The rich won’t have a problem of course.

Single payer, which is where we are headed, is financially unsustainable which means it must result in rationing.

Single Payer concentrates all decisions, all power, all control in the hands of a few. The enforcement arm will be the feared IRS which has been known to target people. They won’t only target Republicans.

Ezekiel Emanuel, Rahm’s brother, is an adviser on Obamacare. He believes the rationing should be made according to age and degree of infirmity.  The very young are as in as much danger as the elderly and the very ill under this model.

When did we become a country that picks and chooses who lives or dies because they will cost too much or are too young or too old? While some insurance companies have made horrendous decisions, it is only the government that can enshrine such a plan, make us pay for it, and allow us no ability to sue or to find regress.

The government is all-powerful. Once they have control over your health and your family’s health, what’s left really?

Oddly, Russia plans to move away from single payer and go towards private insurance. They want to model our system. The Russian government is pushing through massive cuts and privatisation in the health care system. The country’s health care system is already starved financially.

British doctors say that their healthcare system is going broke and is worse than Communist China. The Telegraph reports that Dr. Peter Holden, negotiator for the British Medical Association said, “The result is the perfect toxic professional working environment for this explosive mixture to generate disasters such as Mid Staffordshire which did so much harm to patients. Not even in Communist China did they have managers overruling doctors in the operation of hospitals and health services.”

The NHS is bullying their doctors in the UK. Ambulance patients wait 8 hours in some cases. Their hospitals are disappearing. Unfortunately, their big government mentality means they will appoint another big government panel to monitor the big government bullies at NHS.

Even though the British universal healthcare system compromises patient care to save money, they are running out of money. Interestingly, their senior administrators are getting 28% pay increases and don’t have to work weekends. That is because they are the elite.

Single Payer has always been the goal of Obamacare:
