The Obama administration promised a “fundamental transformation” of the country. In the past six years the transformation has been put in place by the government, the liberal media, and those on handouts living off the productivity of others. A culture that had been based on a foundation of law and order is floundering on the shoals of self-imposed anarchy.
We have an administration that has bypassed the rule of law countless times, and has turned citizen against citizen by enflaming tensions along the lines of class, race, and gender. The country has not seen division to this extent since the turbulence of the 1960’s.
How has this happened, and why is it being allowed to happen? Let’s look at a few different areas of division. While not a complete list, it does prove emblematic of what is wrong with the direction of this country.
In 2009, Eric Holder, the head of the Department of Justice and the nation’s top law enforcement officer, called our country a nation of cowards for not speaking out about race. White America was blamed then, and now, for all the challenges that Black America faces.
Too many people of color were in prison or were unemployed, and the fault was systemic racism.
In New York, at the time of Holders speech, 83% of gun assailants were black, and combined with Hispanics that number rose to 98%. 49 of every 50 robberies with guns was attributed to this group.
Are the racist cops responsible? Is the white racism – supposedly rampant according to Holder – responsible.
It must be the lack of gun control, right? Remember these numbers are from New York, a state with stringent gun control laws. Even more troubling is that most of these gun assaults are black on black crime, something that liberals don’t want to talk about even to this day. Look at the numbers of shootings in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and see how many black on black crimes occur. It has gotten so bad that most don’t even make it to the local news.
What is touted on not only local news, but national news as well, is white on black crime. Even the White House has bullied its way into the discussion. The new liberal program is to federalize the local police forces, to stop these racist crimes. What they will not admit, is black on white crime is eight times more than white on black crime. This will never be discussed by our liberal media.
Every time a black is shot by a white, it is an opportunity to foment riots, and everyone, white and black remembers the names of each of them. How many remember the names of the 30 killed in Chicago this weekend, including a nine year old boy?
There is enough blame to go around. A great part of it is the change in culture. Children being born out of wedlock, the fathers nowhere to be found, and families with no visible means of support. This is a problem with a solution, but it would have to be the black community that fixes the problem. In demonizing the white community, the activists have effectively cut off all avenus of assistance from the vast number of whites willing to help.
Let’s look at another aspect of the race card being played by this administration. The shooting of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy, and what exactly happened may never be known. What is known is that a group called “Black Lives Matter” was formed afterward.
Black Lives matter emanated from a social justice group comprised of some of the same members as the Dream Defenders. Both were offshoots and in direct consultation with Obama For America (OFA)*, the group that worked diligently in Obama’s campaigns. Both the Dream Defenders and Black Lives Matter worked to eliminate Florida’s stand your ground law. It failed despite being tied to Holder’s DOJ.
In Ferguson, Charelston, Baltimore and other targets of opportunity, these groups have tried to spread racial discord along with the New Black Panther Party and the Nation of Islam.
The founders of Black Lives Matter have been directly tied to visits to the White House and to payments from George Soros and his many fronts to continue the activism that they find profitable.
Derby McKesson (Twitter photo above), as part of Teach for America, an activist group in 2011, has also visited the White House. He met with Zachary Russem, who at the time worked in the Office of the Vice President as a policy analyst. He was also a field director for Obama For America from June 2007-November 2008. This is the same Deray Mckesson, who while listed as a protestor in TFA, was a finalist for a $10,000 Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership.
These protests have been highly organized, well-funded, and they received all the coordination required by this administration and those cronies who surround it.
*Organizing for America was a community organizing project of the Democratic National Committee. Later, it became the grassroots arm of Obama for America which became later known as Organizing for Action.
