The Hillary Clinton server scandal has gotten worse. The FBI has expanded their investigation to another Connecticut-based computer company – Datto Inc. Her records were transferred from Platte River to Datto and the techs handling the files did not have the security clearance necessary.
It gets worse. A Platte River employee is on record as saying there was a directive to destroy emails after they were subpoenaed by the State Department and a congressional committee. It’s not known if the order came directly from Hillary Clinton.
It’s obstruction of justice – a felony. People serve time over this. It’s very serious, Laura Ingraham said on The Sean Hannity Show Wednesday. Ms. Ingraham is a constitutional lawyer.
This became known when Senator Ron Johnson received emails that showed employees expressed concern that something shady was going on. Senator Johnson is Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman.
This past August, a Platte River Networks employee wrote to a coworker that he was, “Starting to think this whole thing really is covering up some shaddy (sic) s**t.”
“I just think if we have it in writing that they told us to cut the backups, and that we can go public with our statement saying we have backups since day one, then we were told to trim to 30days (sic), it would make us look a WHOLE LOT better,” the unnamed employee continued.
The email was sent shortly after news emerged that the FBI was looking into the security of the server.
Late this summer, Johnson wrote, a Platte River employee took note of a change and inquired whether the company could search its archives for an email from Clinton Executive Service Corp. directing a reduction in files in October or November 2014 and then again around February, advising Platte River to save only emails sent during the most recent 30 days.
That email was sent by the Clinton Executive Service after the State Department requested Hillary’s emails.
Datto stored Hillary’s emails on a “cloud” storage system designed to optimize data recovery and those were turned over to the FBI Tuesday. The emails were not overwritten or wiped. Platte River was not aware until recently that the files bounced over to Datto’s cloud system which is why they have only recently surfaced.
Cyber experts believe the emails will be recovered – at least a good 90% of them will probably be.
Hillary Clinton famously made an ad during the 2008 election in which a narrator asks “who do you want picking up the phone at 3am” with the supposed choice being Hillary. It’s ironic given her careless disregard for our national security.
CBS News reported Thursday that attacks originating in China, South Korea and Germany all tried to hack her server while she was Secretary of State but it’s not known if they succeeded.
