Algerian Crisis Is Only the Beginning

The Algerian crisis is over and there are as many as 81 dead including the terrorists. Between 23 and 48 hostages have been murdered. Five of the terrorists are in custody.

Ayman al-Zawahiri, second-in-command to Osama bin Laden, called for the kidnapping of Westerners last year, particularly Americans, so they could be used in exchange for the blind Sheikh and other terrorists currently being held.

The Algerian crisis is the first of more kidnappings to come. We have interests throughout the world and, contrary to what President Obama has said, al Qaeda is not on the run, they are establishing bases of operations throughout the world.

Our country ignored Benghazi, the first terrorist attack, and we are paying a price for that. We are no longer feared or held in any regard.

Our government has been second-guessing the Algerians handling of the crisis but in fact the terrorists were about to blow up the entire facility. They had to act.
