The Independent Journal Review posted the video below and described it as the worst response about Benghazi ever seen.
New Hampshire Democrat Ann Kuster was at a Town Hall on November 25th in Manchester to answer questions about the Middle East. When asked about the resolution to form a select committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks, she said there wasn’t one, though there is. She said she thought it was in the senate.
She said the word ‘Benghazi’ as if she didn’t know what it was or couldn’t believe someone would ask the question, and she said she was there to talk about the Middle East, having apparently decided that Libya can’t come up in a discussion of the Middle East.
While Libya is in North Africa and the boundaries of ‘near East, mid-East and far East’ are loosely defined, no one would deny that Libya is in the mid-East, certainly not Libya.
She was bailed out by the moderator who said she was ‘nice enough’ to answer questions and he wanted to ‘keep things civil’. She was ‘nice’ enough? Shouldn’t elected officials think it’s ‘nice’ of us to elect them to office? Shouldn’t they answer questions? They serve us.
The worst part is that she allowed the moderator to pull her out. She didn’t even try to come back from it.
Kuster released a statement:
Like all Americans, I was horrified by the tragic attack on our Embassy in Benghazi that killed four patriotic Americans. Our focus must remain on finding those responsible, bringing them to justice, and taking every necessary step to prevent an attack like this from ever happening again.
Do you believe that?
