Costco censored, lied, and then caved on pulling the books of conservative author Dinesh D’Souza from their bookshelves.

Costco censors books now. Costco, under the leadership of co-founder Jim Sinegal, decided to pull all its copies of Dinesh D’Souza’s popular book, “America: Imagine the World Without Her,” from its bookshelves on the eve of the opening of the movie based on the book.

America

Sinegal is a friend to Barack Obama and he’s a big donor to his campaign. Obama has touted Costco in his speeches, calling Sinegal his good friend.

After an uproar, Costco issues a statement:

“Costco is not influenced by political considerations in selecting product for sale in our warehouses or on Costco.com. This includes our selection of books. Our book buyers are solely interested in book sales, and do not favor any political persuasion over another. Recently, after deciding to sell the book “America: Imagine the world without her”, beginning on June 1, a decision was made to pull the book from sale on July 1. This decision was based solely on the number of copies sold during that month, and had nothing to do with the content of the book.”

Of course that’s untrue since they put out books no one ever heard of and that are number 10,000 on the list. The D’Souza book is number one on the Amazon list and quickly beat out Hillary Clinton’s book.

Costco continued their statement:

“After we made the return, a documentary was released about the book. Since then there has been heightened interest by our membership base and brisk sales at locations still in stock. Therefore, we have made the decision to reorder the book.”

They caved but the fact is that companies feel empowered to shove their leftist views on the public and hide those of conservatives, which are based on traditional values this country was founded on. This has been going on with school texts, movies, TV, history rewrites, social media and newspapers.

I saw the movie yesterday and loved it. It dragged a little in the middle but overall it was gripping and inspiring. The movie asks the question, What would the world be like if America never existed. The first part of the movie has clips of famous leftists like Bill Ayers, Michael Moore, Howard Zinn, Ward Churchill, et al explaining why America is a nation with a shameful past. The movie then comes back with a powerful and fact-filled response. It reminds people why America is a great nation with a history that should make us very proud.
