Devonte Hart, 12, is our hero protester of the day along with a police Sergeant. He was walking around the Ferguson protesters with a sign that read, “free hugs” when freelance photographer Johnny Nguyen spotted the boy with tears in his eyes and began following him.
Police Sgt. Bret Barnum saw the boy and motioned him over. They began to talk. Barnum pointed to the sign and asked the boy, “Do I get one of those” and the rest of the story is in the photo from abc news.
Don’t you wonder why the boy had tears in his eyes and wouldn’t you like to give him a hug also?
