People in cities across the country are rioting and protesting in the streets against Donald J. Trump’s decisive win over Hillary Rodham Clinton in the November 8th presidential election. Apparently none of these people protesting the election results have ever read the Constitution.

The Constitution established the Electoral College as a process by which the president is elected after the people of the United States cast their ballots on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Article II Section 1 of the Constitution says, “Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.”

I bet 99.9 percent of the protesters in the streets today could not tell you anything about the Electoral College and how it works. In fact, I bet most of them can’t even spell Electoral College!

Had they read the Constitution and several subsequent Amendments regarding the election of our president, they would understand why and how Donald Trump was elected president.

But since they have never read the Constitution and don’t understand the process, they somehow think that rioting in the streets will magically overturn the election. They should look at the election map. It shows the red states (Republican) and the blue states (Democrat). For the most part, the only blue states are on the west coast, where most of the rioting is taking place, and in New England, the Democrat stronghold. The vast majority of the country is red.

Protesters say that since Hillary Rodham Clinton and Tim Kaine won the popular vote (by a few thousand) that they should be the winners. Again folks, read the Constitution! Trump received 290 electoral votes to Hillary’s 232. Not even close.

I believe this is why, in her concession speech, Hillary Clinton referred to the United States as a “Constitutional Democracy” instead of a Democratic Republic, which is what we are. This was very calculated. In a Democracy, the majority rules!!!

Maybe if all the liberal left wing college professors spent more time teaching American history and the Constitution instead of politically correct feel good social engineering we would have a more informed group of first-time voters. Most of these young protesters don’t know anything other than Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State and Barack Obama as President. They were all in middle school when Obama was elected.

And how is it that these college-age rioters have so much time on their hands that they can spend all day protesting. Shouldn’t they be in class? Don’t they have jobs?

Hillary spoke out during the campaign about having a peaceful transition of government. She even joked at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in October by saying, “You know, come to think of it, it’s amazing I’m up here after Donald. I didn’t think he’d be okay with a peaceful transition of power.”

Hillary was anticipating Trump voters not accepting the results of the election, since she thought she would win overwhelmingly. Instead, we have uninformed and uneducated Clinton supporters refusing to accept the results of a Trump win.

Riots, protests, and violence erupted in the blue cities and states right after the election. Angry protesters blocked streets, highways, and bridges. Extremists fired shots into the crowds. Rioters set fires and looted stores.

These are the kind of people who voted for Hillary. And she called us “deplorable?”

So why are Hillary Clinton, Tim Kaine, and President Obama silent? Why aren’t they calling for the peaceful transition of power now?

That’s why today, after the free exercise of our most precious Constitutional right, Hillary’s rotten Clinton supporters are still raising Kaine.

  1. Doesn’t the vote counting now show that Trump received over 700,000 more votes than Hillary? So not only the electoral college but the popular vote as well
