The NY Times is lying for our government and our government is lying to the countries who are receiving these high risk GITMO terrorists.
The Prime Minister of Ghana came out and said his government never would have taken the two terrorists from GITMO if he had known they were high risk. He was told by our government that they were low risk.
Wikileaks revealed that the two ex-Guantanamo Bay inmates in Ghana are of a “high security risk” contrary to information provided by the US government, according to http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/Gitmo-Two-US-didn-t-show-us-WikiLeaks-report-Hanna-Tetteh-407851
A report on the two – Mahmoud Omar Mohammed Bin Atef, 36, and Khalid Shayk Mohammed, 34 – compiled by the US whistle blower WikiLeaks suggests that the former inmates took active part in the operations of the terror group, AI Qaeda.
Foreign Affairs Minister Hanna Tetteh said the WikiLeaks risk assessment report on the two individuals were not made available to the Ghanaian government in the year-long discussions with the US over the freed inmates.
“…The information in the public domain is one that I respect hence my decision to seek clarification [from the US government]. I am waiting for a response… When it comes, I will make it available to the Ghanaian people. I have asked the US Embassy for clarification. The document that was made available to us was the assessment of the two detainees… the information from WikiLeaks was not part of documents available to us,” she said.
They will only remain in Ghana for two years and will then be free to launch terror attacks.
Last week, the NY Times reported that the ten recently released from GITMO were low risk but in fact five were high risk.
The Washington Times reported:
Among the 10 Yemeni terrorists released by the Obama administrationthis week, one is Muhammad Salih Husayn al-Shaykh, a man who has pledged to kill as many Americans as possible.
Another of the latest group is Abu Bakr Ibn Muhammad al-Ahdal, an al Qaeda member described by the intelligence community as a “willing terrorist against the U.S.”
The Yemeni detainees have arrived in Oman, where they will be held until their return to Yemen, Reuters reports.
A military official told Fox News the detainees were “the ‘hardcore’ type,” and that many of those released were “medium- or high-risk prisoners.”
“All have ties to Al Qaeda or other terrorist groups,” the official said.
The White House won’t reveal the identities of those to be released until after they have been placed and you can see why.
Many of these prisoners are back on the battlefield plotting the murders of our soldiers, our allies, and innocent Americans who travel to foreign countries.
Mahmoud al Mujahid, for example, was considered too dangerous to be let go under any conditions. Obama’s rubber stamp Periodic Review Board, which was established by executive order in 2011, is aiding and abetting Obama’s efforts to close GITMO no matter what danger it presents to Americans and allies.
“By consensus, the P.R.B. members found that continued law of war detention is no longer necessary to protect against a continuing significant threat to the United States and that Mujahid is therefore eligible for transfer subject to appropriate security and humane treatment conditions,” the military said in a statement after his release, according to the NY Times.
This administration’s transfer of Ibrahim al Qosi to Sudan in 2012. Despite entering a “re-integration program,” the one-time cook for Usama bin Laden has now fled to Yemen, where he is among the leadership of Al Qaeda in Yemen. That transfer is now said to be a source of considerable heartburn for the Obama administration.
Obama’s latest release is Mohammad Zahir. Our government said he was “just a teacher” and a “low-threat”.
Do people really believe we put school teachers in GITMO and hold them there for ten years?
Wikileaks, based upon items found on his person and in his home, reported that Zahir was determined to be Secretary General of the Taliban’s Intelligence Directorate.
Look at his property held:
The last one – heavy water – is the concentration that is used to make nuclear weapons. A memorandum found in his possessions notes that it was to be used to make an atom bomb.
These people were captured by our military at great expense and in many cases, our soldiers died or were wounded in the effort.
Everyone in GITMO is dangerous. They are not cooks and drivers, they are high risk, high value targets or medium risk to the U.S. and allies. There is no pressing need to close GITMO except in Obama’s narcissistic mind. he said he’d close it, so he will. In his mind, GITMO is a terrorist recruiting tool. By releasing these terrorists, GITMO has become the farm team for terrorists.
Obama is raising the image of the U.S. to the world by lying to at least one country where he sent these guys.
Keep in mind that Hillary will be four more years of this.
