Obama Really Really Cares About the English Embassy

Oh, and how they ridiculed Bush for blunders, but George knew the proper name for the British Embassy. Obama, in condemning the attack on the British Embassy said yesterday,  “All of us are deeply disturbed by the, err, crashing of, err, the English Embassy, err, the embassy of the United Kingdom.”

The man who gave us corpsemen instead of Corpsman and who thinks there are 57 states, doesn’t know what to call the embassy of the people he has an extraordinary relationship with.

I wonder what Queen Elizabeth thinks of him since he gave her that unusable gift of his glorious speeches and sent back the bust of Winston Churchill.

Obama is getting some criticism in the British, I mean English, press for it.

Nile Gardiner, a blogger on The Foundry who led the criticism, said: ‘In case the President is unaware, England forms part of Great Britain, which also includes Scotland and Wales, though not Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom.

‘One can only imagine the kind of howls of derision that would greet any presidential contender if that kind of basic error were made before, say, the editorial board of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

‘It would be nice if the leader of the free world bothered to look at a map once in a while.’ Read here: Obama blunders
