Obama Will Bypass Congress to Inflict a Carbon Tax

President Obama addressed 6,000 Germans Tuesday and told them he was going to respond to the threat of climate change, which undoubtedly means taxing oil, gas, and coal industries, a tax which will be passed down to all of us, the consumers.

Congress won’t approve a carbon tax so he will again bypass Congress and have his EPA legislate the new taxes to “save the world” from the global warming that hasn’t occurred in 16 years.

Germany is looking to walk back some of their energy policies because of their out-of-control electricity prices while Obama wants to mimic what they are doing wrong.

Obama has hinted that he will use the Clean Air Act to circumvent Congress. He is absolutely lawless.

In his speech in Germany on June 19, President Obama said:

“Peace with justice means refusing to condemn our children to a harsher, less hospitable planet,” he said.

“With a global middle class consuming more energy every day, this must now be an effort of all nations, not just some.”

He warned the “grim alternative” the world will face if it fails to take action will see “more severe storms, more famine and floods, new waves of refugees, coastlines that vanish, oceans that rise”.

“This is the future we must avert,” he added. “This is the global threat of our time. And for the sake of future generations, our generation must move toward a global compact to confront a changing climate before it is too late. That is our job. That is our task. We have to get to work.”

We are under threat from jihadists, our economy is weak at best, the debt, deficit and jobs are unchanged since he took office, but what Obama thinks needs to be addressed is a faux climate crisis.

The IRS scandal, spying on citizens, Banghazi and the upcoming immigration bill are lowering Obama’s approval rating. He needed to change the subject.

Obama is great at diverting our attention from the very real problems we have.
