WaPo tells us that Planned Parenthood is spending $1 million on anti-women ads against Ken Cuccinelli who is running for Governor in Virginia. No matter what side of the political fence you are on, can you not see the problem with this? Are we really going to let special interests decide our elections? We are no longer free if a monied corporation can decide our fate.
The politicians elected by Planned Parenthood turn around and vote for all their causes. To make matters worse, Planned Parenthood is heavily funded by our government and people who are opposed to their views are now funding their cause.
It’s crony corporatism. Yes, Planned Parenthood is a corporation, a mega-corporation.
Cuccinelli’s opponent, Terry McAuliffe, is calling Cuccinelli ‘extremely dangerous to women.’ An absurd and hyperbolic accusation at best. McAuliffe has a sizeable lead over Cuccinelli.
If you google Ken Cuccinelli, you won’t get his views or his website easily, you will get only opponent’s sites on the first page of google and for most of the ensuing pages, and they are brutal attack sties.
Cuccinelli doesn’t help himself by not including more information about his views on his campaign website, leaving those who want to know left to get their information from the left who have plenty of information available, though most of it is nothing more than lies from the same old playbook.
Cuccinelli’s personal views are that abortion should only take place when a mother’s life is in danger. However, he has made it clear that he wouldn’t touch it as Governor. He is also being accused of wanting to limit birth control. Another issue he has no plan to touch.
Cuccinelli told voters at an Ashburn, Va., campaign event on August 29th that he “[doesn’t] think government should be doing anything about birth control.”…”I’m not going to touch contraception as governor,” he said at the event.
The next day, Cuccinelli doubled down on his remarks. “I have a flat position: I’m not touching contraception while I’m governor,” the candidate told The Washington Post.
Asked about whether he would push for more restrictions on abortion as governor, Cuccinelli said: “I do not expect to use the political capital of the governor’s office to be moving those pieces of legislation. My focus is on job creation and job growth.”
All the good that Cuccinelli will do on the economy is being wiped out by the spin of an opponent who will spend and tax Virginia to death.
It doesn’t matter what the truth is. The special interests who are heavily invested in the abortion industry will use whatever unfair and dishonest tactics they can to destroy him.
Planned Parenthood is corrupt, they misuse funds, and have been guilty of fraud. Read about that on this link.
Planned Parenthood has only ONE point of view best expressed here:
